After seeing the Lewis & Clark 80 in the above post I was wondering about doing this too...would be sweet to wrap an 80 in a custom skin...or a color as you are doing. Keep us updated..looking good!
Will do. It is kind of slow going, and I hope to get better at it but I am pretty encouraged.

Got the sheet from a sign shop 24x48 and trimmed it down some.
They do signs for vehicles all the tome thats why the sign guy told me its good up to 70 mph,i was oing to use a plastic compatible paint and match the green on my LC

I need to do this but for another application. I have big mesquites in my yard. They are really messy with pollen and small leaves. I'd like to cover the air intake while parked with something easy to pop on-and-off but not blow off.

This is a great idea! My 93 sits outside all of the time. Under a maple tree that dumps freaking helicopters down on it.

We always use Folger's Coffee cans or 5 gallon buckets on the exhaust stacks on our tractors to keep the rain out. Kind of the same thing. They would thrash around in the wind, but typically did not blow off. Pop it off before you start it.

With it on the exhaust, it COULD blow it off, but it won't on the intake.

Maybe hook up a set of butterfly plates like the old school blower intakes so when the throttle is off, the butterflies are closed. If nothing else, it would look damn impressive!

@LandCruiserPhil

I can trade you for the black rims. Mine need a little tlc. I am going to tundra rims soon so just want to keep a set of factory rims around.

JHB, I currently have a set of non black factory rims with needs of a little tlc and because my black rims are relatively new Im looking for the same in a trade.

I also have a set of Tundra rims available for a CSC price of $125. 3 are near perfect and one has some paint damage if interested.

I will take the tundra rims for sure Phill!

Changed fuel filter. Thanks to this thread it went very well:
Fuel filter in 40 minutes like a boss

Cleaned up wiring under the console, installed gauge for transfer tank. Still waiting on a few parts but will make a thread for the sub tank install when it's done.

we can get 1-2 inches or more of rain in an hour i had it because the weatherstrip was worn, replacement on the way and found a drain tube blocked, even if it sits its a good idea to cover it.
i don't like the idea of water getting in there even if it had adequate drainage

Let my 10-year-old get some more seat time yesterday, then helped the girls find a little inspiration for our ext camping trip.
