Oh c'mon!! I had to come to the next page for your response and you just tease like a prom date!
OK OK, I played with the photo editing on my phone to show it better, or maybe I just added a stand to it. You be the judge.

No sealant on the threads?

Took it fly fishing for the 5th time this week (got some time off between changing jobs.) Unfortunately didn't catch anything picture-worthy today since the river is starting to get a bit low. Loved every minute of it though regardless - pretty rough trail getting in and an amazing scenic hike up the river.

Last one replaced on my 93' 80 series I didn't without issue, is there something you use ?

It probably worked because of the existing sealant in the hole. I usually use teflon thread tape when I assemble tapered pipe threads. Be very careful to avoid having any hang off the end of the fitting and there won't be any risk of it finding its way into the oil system.

Rebuilt and rigged the parking brakes, started replacing all belt molding and replaced both front door checks.

Gotcha, I'll keep an eye on it, this motor doesn't leak a bit anywhere so I'm certainly not wanting to cause an issue, thanks for the heads up and I did check the manual and it does call for an adhesive. Time will tell

Yeah.. just keep an eye on it. Possible it won't leak at all.

People just seem to have the misconception that tapered threads don't need sealant.. slowly we'll all figure it out.

Survived the tow but wasnt too pretty, had the OD off most of the time to keep 60-65 which also means she drank like a sailor. Got around 8mpg and took about 50 gallons to go 400 miles.

At first it wasn't too bad with the empty trailer and then wasn't too horrible when I first started the journey when it's was 75 degrees, then when temp got to 85-90 the fan clutch locked up and the going was SLOW up grape vine.

Also miss judged the MPG and completely ran out of gas literally as I try to turn into gas station! Oh well, got some gas and off I went. Although I swear arco gas gets worse gas mileage.

Whoa!!!!! You finally getting sliders????

Yeah...summer's here. My rocker panels can't survive another year of Joey's spotting...:frown:

I needed a roof rack for Rubithon and am a broke college student so I talked to my friend Scott at Apex Engineering and Design and my boss, Mike Smith, owner of Bump It Offroad, and conviced them to help me with a roof rack. I told Scott the general idea of what I wanted and he designed the whole thing. Mike cut it out and helped me with the rest. Finished and bolted it on today. It turned out great!
