My record long drive of 13 hrs from socal to az while breaking in the gears. 5.29 power feels nice but it adds about 100 extra miles to every 1000 driven. Tcase reduction gear is slow, a good slow.

I may need to head east and check this out. How long is that trail?
There is something like 40+ miles of trail plus an off road park that I didn't find. There is so much water right now the red (hardest) trails I stayed away from. I was on my own and my winch decided it doesn't work anymore. Going back in August and I hope to try it all.
Here's a spot I'm sure would have been fine but I turned back there as we needed to head home. Next time.

Damn you!! I need to get my life back to that paradise you still roam freely. Your pics make me home sick bad. However, memories of the battalions of thirsty mosquitos on Drummond Island are still very vivid. Rock on Michigan!

Crazy thing, there were ZERO bugs at camp. Never seen that before.

Does anyone know how to reach Christo @sleeoffroad ?

My cruiser is broken down in Estes Park. I'm wondering if he may have the parts needed to fix it.

Installed this courtesy of COSTCO...

I used to say the same thing, then I started going to 29 Stumps on our yearly desert training. The East coast has humidity.... yes, but get out in that 110-115 "dry" air.... and you feel like a dry roasted peanut! I'll take my coastal 90-95 w/ 85 percent humidity any day!!
Yep, did my mos training at 29 Palms; went to my first duty station at Camp Pendleton and left for desert training back to the stumps. But we got the first delivery of the HUMMVEE with the factory reps to take them through there paces. Fun times!

Still chasing down an overheating issue when towing. Swapped the clutch oil a week or so ago. Did much better, but still getting hotter than I like. Pulled the fan clutch tonight and tweaked the adjustment. Will take it out for a drive tomorrow afternoon.

Also, the fireman mod didn't solve my leaking issue. I'm thinking plugged sunroof drain? It's leaking on to the front passenger side floor. I think it's going straight in to behind the plastic moulding.

Then again, I just felt the headliner In the upper pass side corner. And it's wet. Is this the "normal" sunroof leak area?

sunroof drain! You work at Lowes; get some weed eater string!

Did a little hiking. But I drove the 80 there.

Finally replaced my oil pump cover o-ring and front crank seal. This repair has been a long time coming, and the undercarriage has all the rustproofing it needs. Only one screw stripped out, and the bolt extractor actually worked to remove the stud after the head was drilled.

I went to Muskeegon last June; I had heard about the mosquitos, but didn't have any problems, Loved it! I want to do some trails up there next time!

Give a heads up next time if you can, I would love to go explore around!
