Tap it with a hammer before attempting to loosen it. Make sure you also have a replacement readily available. I would not use that bolt again. No need to torque it more than FSM states.

This is how I got 5 of the 6 drain/fill plugs out of my transfer case and diff's. Couldn't get the drain plug out of the rear diff, because of 'rock crawling'. Will need the welder for that one. Allen head plugs all around, now.

Took the 80 for a drive up Weaver Bally road with my better half. Came to this. The perfect occasion for a fat bike, but a regular mountain bike would have been enough on this snow.
That's pretty darn impressive! Great driving there.
This is all good info, but one of the better ideas I have seen is taking your socket and grinding off the bevel.
If you look inside most sockets there is about an 1/8-3/16" bevel from the opening to the flats, this is bigger than the bolt. I am sure it makes putting the socket on nuts and bolts easier, but it also allows the rocking like you said. If you take a socket and grind that area off so it is just the flats it won't be as much of an issue.

I fixed my rear third eye brake light, the whole cost was 1.69, using a 5.1 zener diode. Also worked on the wiring for the new stand alone tomorrow tomorrow it should be shifting on it's own

I think I'm going to get them blasted. Was going to wire wheel but looks like too many hours for that.
What's the proper way to blast them? Strip housing completely down or can I leave most on and just strip the rubber bits and small stuff off?
