Ford 90° oil filter adapter, I have one.

Have you found an affordable version? I last looked into this a couple of years ago and the cheapest I could source was $80 from Summit Racing.

That is around what I paid. Again the only benefit I found once installed was the ease and cleanness of removing the filter. Zero change in start up rattle.

Oh and I replaced the D/S side mirror, but I'm not happy with it as the mirror glass gives a wavy image. Alas, for now it will work. While in the door I redid the wiring to the speaker since it would cut out when you look at it. Whoever did the install did a poor wiring job to say the least. Added new wire and heat shrink (wanted to use my waterproof stuff but couldn't find it) and added dielectric grease to the terminals after cleaning them up with sand paper.

There's almost no vapor barrier plastic left on the door, I have seen people use dynamat or similar there, does anyone have experience with insulating the doors?

Re: The Vapor Barrier, I've seen folks who've ordered new ones from the dealer, they run about $5 each. I don't have a part number and I'm not sure if they come with that elastomer black goo but I'm sure they have that on hand too.

Thanks @LandCruiserPhil for one of the best pictures I have seen for a while....

and for what appears to be a UN roadblock

Never seen so many white LC's without UN stickers on them!

Are other colors available:flipoff2:

Picture was luck, 99.9% of the time I suck but I do like it better than all the snow pictures:grinpimp:

Bummer, but in the long run it's worth not having to mop up the block every 5,000 miles. :hmm:

The ability to put a Zip-lock bag over the filter makes for zero mess. I will also drill and tap the Ford adapter when I plumb the Engine Pre-Lube system.

Julian. We had some snow yesterday, but last night it kept coming. Woke up to this!
P.S. Tell the flat lander tourists to stay down there! Everytime we get snow now hoards of "never seen snow people" come up and they seem to have no civility. People leaving trash everywhere (crapping in my yard) and completely ignoring private property. Last snow an old lady got punched when she asked a woman to leave her property!

Woops I was on my phone and thought you were in Ramona for some reason.

Yeah I know how you feel... You should see what the tourists leave on the beach in the summer. Not to mention traffic and no parking! It is just getting so crowded around here.

It was a nightmare going up to Mt Laguna a few weeks ago. People were just stopped on the sides of the roads and jumping fences clearly marked "Private Property". Seems like this has only been an issue the last couple years... and its getting worse. Crazy part is that we went to a "DAY USE AREA" and paid our whopping $5 (and left a $20 to support the NSF) and NO ONE was there. They can't spend $5 to use a public area? Pretty bad. SD county isn't that great when you can't go anywhere without getting stuck in a gridlock.

Front: 67831-60030
"With 9-speaker" (the one I used on my LX450): 67831-60040 (I paid about $10 ea through a local to me discount site)
Rear, through 6/94: 67841-60020
Rear 7/94-12/97: 67841-60040
I don't remember how much the rears were but it was expensive and they were simple enough that I just used the old barriers as patterns and cut up a large trash bag

doesnt come with it but I just ordered the stuff from Amazon in a skinny roll

This stuff was the most cost effective when I was looking:
Amazon.com: 3M 08578 Black 1' Strip Calk: Automotive

Little more difficult to deal with in separate strips but I got a lot more footage per dollar.

Death wobble - time for some caster plates

Ever make it to Goat Trestle Bridge or Galleta Meadows not geo but more amazing features of Anza Borrego.

I think my death wobble is brake related. Drove just fine just before a one year hibernation then the sudden development of a scary wobble when braking. I'm going to start by rebuilding all the calipers and original brake soft lines. They are due for some maintenance. The suspension, drag link, wheel bearings seem fine.

While the brakes may initiate the vibration or wobble, loose joints or whatnot is allowing the wobble to happen. Hope that makes sense.

Yep, I'm just surprised a year of sitting would create a problem that never existed before. I guess some bushings may have degraded past the failure point.

Tires still round after sitting?

It is in my mind. I have driven almost 200 miles and it hasn't gone away. It may be worth my time to have them balanced and checked out.

Steering stabilizer could be a culprit too. Good luck.
