Oh...I forgot the best moment.
I GOT LOCKED IN THE CARGO AREA WITH MY 3 YEAR OLD.

So went down like this. We're at Mt. Rose skiing. Just after lunch, our 3 year old starts acting like a hyena on crack (nap time). I come up with the brilliant idea to make nest in the back of the LC. So despite it being 24 with 30mph winds, we snuggled in on a bed of blankets, padded snowboard bags and down coats. He fell asleep. Woke up 45 mins later happy as a clam. perfect.

#%$$

So I had stuffed all the other gear from the cargo area into the passenger seats (Large plastic bins, a pair of skies and whatnot) which along with the two kids car seats, made an effective wall to which I couldn't get access to the front, but whatever, there's that handy latch on the top lid to get out.

$%$&

That handy latch is totally DOA. The lever pulls, but it ain't connected to anything inside. #%$&. Its not that we're cold. Its not that I'm in a remote area. I could yell out the slider, but %^#&.

Needless to say. I had a Phillips stashed in the side panel. Popped the cover off the latch and manually flicked the latch, rescuing us. I mean it is not like I shimmied across a 30' lift cable and climbed down a chairlift boom to rescue my friend on anything (did you see that story, that was amazing ), but I was happy to have access to a some of my tools!

Moral of the story.
If you find yourself trapped in a confined space with a hyena on crack, you might need a screwdriver, or two.

Been there. Here is a thread on a fix I did on my 92.

Was working in the garage tight space... I lifted the fridge up to go in back & tagged the tailight. Popped a quarter size hole in the tailight....$#@!# :bang::( what a waste of good money.

That sucks. You need to come up with a better story than that though...

I cracked one of mine years ago with my hi-lift. I filled the hole with clear epoxy and its lasted ever since.

Spent the week at Tahoe snowboarding...freakin awesome! I think we got 4 feet in 4 days...never seen so much snow in my life! Drove the cruiser about 900 miles total...ran perfect. The Toyo 315s chewed through snow and ice no problem. Very impressed with how they handled in very deep snow and packed ice. Had big ass twist link chains, but never felt the need... Last pic shows a Mini Cooper parked next to me at Heavenly...not sure how/if this guy made it out!

How the Mini made it out? HE DIDN'T ! haha
Enjoy all that snow. Hope it relieves a lot of the drought.

After the hustle and bustle of the holidays, finally spent a few hours in the garage and got the passenger side slider tacked up. Still needs gussets and full welds, but at least it's up there hanging on its own weight for now. Tomorrow hopefully, drivers side.

Anyone know the part number for the stright bypass hose that comes on the '95 units with no PAIR. The one on my '94 bends round the PAIR stuff (now deleted) but i want to make it look tidy.

Not sure what bypass your talking about, on the water lines? Someone else posted these schematics in a rear heater bypass thread.

If I wanted to do something similar - not that I would in the Republik of Kalifornia where I live (all Hail our omnipresent government which graciously protects us from ourselves) - but if I hypothetically DID want to, I would get it used from a part out. I am guessing it would only be a couple of bucks used like that.

In fact, I would even postulate that you could get that metal tube that goes around the front of the block right above the water pump from the same year that only has the water tube instead of the water tube + vacuum tube so you wouldn't have a spare line hanging out provoking questions and would have a cleaner looking install.

At least, that's what I would guess, in said hypothetical situation, purely for the sake of discussion
