What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

How was this? Any tough trails? How many hours of off-roading is there? Thinking about going for 4-5 days.

I have 180,000 on my 1997 lx450 with the original phh small 1 inch hose . it was still in good shape on inspection once off . I replaced it with the silicon gates blue heater hose and the special clamps and got rid of the metal pipe and used one piece from bottom to top . Its going to make it easier to replace in the future . The bolts holding the pipe in place were hard to get to. Its just easier to have one hose . flushed the system and replaced the antifreeze . Finely put new tires on it . I went for the 265 75 16 size. I got 4 Michelin defender ltx m/s tires for 550 dollars balanced and mounted . I'm hoping they will get the 70,000 they say it will . I should be good to go for the winter . All in all a good weekend for me .

Oh god bless the 7 pin swap CDL, we are having some weather, and our roads are a little icey with snow, and people cannot know where their side of the road is, I had my CDL on and it saved me, because without it, the rear of my LC would have contacted them. Thank you MUD for great information . BTW minivan drivers who cannot see your lane stay home
Good friend of mine that doesnt peruse 80s tech has been building a fresh 1fz over the last month or two to replace his current low miler that had developed piston slap or a wrist pin knock. We started his swap after work on friday and stopped for a few hours of sleep and a couple of quick but incredibly tasty meals provided by his wife and wrapped up about an hour ago. A hood and a bumper/winch tomorrow morning and it'll be buttoned Up. Whew 5pm fri to 1am sunday. Two tired dudes here!

Now to take them off tomorrow.

No record amongst some of the talented folks here I bet and certainly not easy..... plus we still have to go dig a hood out of the snow drift LOL. A good plan and some good help and a prettty darn good parts dude from here as well. The well organized and stocked shop, experienced wrench, and some generous help from friends goes a long way. I'd have to have posted in the what did you do to your 80 this month thread
Fitted my molle seat back. Already got 4 pouches. Waiting on a few more of various sizes to come in the next weeks.
Pretty pleased with the result.
Cut down my 4 drawer to 2 drawers and then carpeted the sides, It simply took to much space. Will use aluminum boxes as needed. This gives more flexibility for in terms of usage.

went dashing through the snow in a 1fz powered sleigh. and made some money plowing in another truck
Both me and my son got some time behind the wheel in the snow with the Wasatch Cruisers club. I appreciate them opening the run up to us and planning a great event. My first run with them but hopefully not my last!

Finished up replacing my heater core. Beno came through big time on the new core!! It wasn't fun taking out the entire dash. Got it all done without having to take off the steering wheel or undoing all of the AC lines and discharging the system. Its difficult to get the box out that holds the heater core with the AC box still in but it can be done. Bleeding the cooling system is super easy also compared to my MR2. Really enjoying heat with no coolant smell.
I'm in Gainesville and also feeling the pain.
