Continued baseling today, no pics but got window tint off windshield and front windows, fixed door handles and lock issues, still need an actuator for one door, changed belts, cut the crap alarm out of it, had some help from another wiring guru....and then came the issue, was changing PCV valve, got hose and valve off with no issue....went to pull the grommet using a panel popper the bottom half seperated falling down into the head/valve cover....tinkered with it for 10 minutes and managed to get the remnant out with needlenose pliars....talk about a relief...still have brakes tune up to do and need to get parts for a knuckle rebuild......productive day and hope to get the inspection sticker this coming week and then it will be my DD....

I also had a few keys made at the dealership. My other keys would not unlock the doors....I was hoping that my locks weren't messed up. New keys solves the problem. All 3 locks will lock and unlock with the key.

Having issues with mine as well, rear hatch won't unlock with ignition key, wondering if the rear hatch was swapped, need to check vin and see if it's original....

"Lost" is my favorite state of being.

I got pretty damn lost today! Did an extra 200 miles on top of an already long day. Total route from redding to shasta/dunsmuir to mccloud to burney to lassen to shingletown, back to redding, to redbluff, to chester to quincy. Its been a hella long day of driving.

It started at 730am and ended at 1030pm. Plus trading bumpers at noon in a parking lot, an hour of hunting and 2 food stops.

I forgot lassen national park doesnt plow so you cant scoot through to quincy and i took the wrong bypass through the valley instead of susanville. I need to tally my miles today.

Mine was doing the exact same thing. Key would work in the ignition but barely in one of the doors and not at all in the rear hatch...it felt like it was not even the right lock. A new key fixed it.....$5 per key.

Maybe that's why it wouldn't start this morning....

It may be time for a new battery and terminal.

And the crankshaft pulley is made. Many thanks to a friend with a welder.

You're not far from Chester which is one of our favorite winter getaways in Ca. You found one of the best places to get lost.

How did you get them for $680 shipped? Was there a code?

Looks awesome congrats! I just found out about these today! how did you get them for 680 delivered? How much was shipping? THANKS!

The OPOR Sliders for the FJ80 are on sale (15% off) through the end of December:
Metal Tech 4x4 - Sales and Specials
The code is "80SERIES"

Shipping from Metal Tech (Portland, OR) to a business address in Los Angeles (about 950 miles) was $130

I am very happy with them and the 15% discount covered most of the shipping.

Ran into one problem halfway up I70 when my washer fluid stopped coming out the nozzle. At first I thought I was out of fluid but upon further inspection the filter on the drivers side of the engine bay that all the fluid passes through was clogged or it was broken (haven't had time to look). I really needed washer fluid with all the snow coming down and I luckily had some small hose that I could connect to the hose the washer fluid was coming out of. I was therefore able to route the hose out of the engine bay and up to the top of the windshield. It was really ugly (see the pic) but it did work .

You're in for a new diverter valve - see post #15 for p/n: Washer fluid pump leaking...

Pulled out the cc. Checked the valve per FSM. Tried cleaning it. Yep. Busted.
Replaced some hoses while I was there.

Waiting on a VC120. (Or whatever the AC Delco equivalent is).

Keeping the old one "whole" for swap in for Cali emissions. *sigh*
