Haha yeah good lord that is ultimate stink bug, lowered in the front and lifted in the back. lol.

You should find out where he got his lowering springs on the front of that thing for @scottryana

There's a couple Saudi spec 100s here in Tempe. They both have stink bug like that. My guess it was stock for them or perhaps just lift springs in the rear?

Looks like a storm chaser to me. I am familiar with the gear because I am a storm chaser.
I think I want some of those cool antennas on my Land Cruiser. Just because they look cool.

Finally got the 80 back together, cleaned, and running. Still some wiring to finish and install the intercooler guage. Picked up a lot of power going to the smaller pulley, actually chirped the tires pretty good launching.

Well it looks like I just lost the Amazon TYC/Koyo lottery :(. I guess I'll just give it a try and hope for the best.

I am in the need for a radiator as well. Picked up an Ebay one and going to try it out as soon as it arrives. Hoping for the best but from what I've read the reviews are good.

Bought a new set of hawk pads for the rear,.......had been squeaking a bit for about a month.......When I took off the rear passenger tire the pads were cherry! But the caliper guide bolts were both gummed up pretty good, top one more than the other. Cleaned and greased and back in action.!......Ill keep the pads for when I finally need them and do it all right at that time.

Next week be front shocks, check brakes and wheel bearings, valve cover gasket, plug wires, seals, and new belts on my 80.

Turning a wrench = Zen

well at least for some....

I obsessed about the uneven front (side to side) stance, so I decided to apply @GW Nugget formula to increase the DS height by 1/2". I turned the spring about 1" and it sits equally on both sides.

I tried to undo the lower control arm bolts so I can "relax" the bushings, but failed.
The bolt head is 22mm but the nut on the other side is slightly larger. somewhere between 23 - 25mm.
Doen anybody know what side the nut is?

I want to say 15/16" & 7/8" for control arm bolts... Its definitely American Standard. The cocking the spring trick works but is a temporary deal to help level til you get in the correct packers installed.

If I loosen up the front two, would that be enough for the rear one to relax?

No, all your bushings are tight at the old ride height. You need to loosen them all. Yes it a pain but it helps the downtravel also. I'm doing this for my rear end right now. I got the rear Slinkies in last night.

My current limiting down travel factor is the shocks.
And that's a good thing for my right now as all the brake and breather lines are all stock (too short).

I need to get some longer brake lines (I'll ask beno about it) and might just visit Pep Boys to check out some hoses for a breather line hack.

Yeah there is an extended OEM hose kit. For the breathers just use 1/4" fuel line and route each individually or pull all together to a manifold.

For me I think I'm going to replace the fuel lines for the breather with 3/8" nylon and use the Prestolock or Norgren push fittings to keep things similar to the OBA kits I'm working on.

What's safe length of hose in this case for the front? 6-8'?

Ok, it's approximately 1515 PST. I'm going to attempt to drive a klick to the local beef market place for something to cook rare. God sparing I don't implode my HG, or the frame cracks in half, or the wheels sheer off killing the bus of nuns. And heaven forbid on the this 75* sunny day my A/C gives up.

Enjoy your labor day folks. Be safe out there. These 80 series can be death traps!
