Yeah spending my day with @jtwopark learning how to rebuild shocks from beginning to end. Fascinating stuff. All of this is right up my alley.

If it doesn't rub, no need to lift

For me it's just add because it's too much work to take out and clean up the current insulation, also it's so old and compressed now it doesn't really take up much space anymore. With just thermozite its already nice and cushy so can't wait till I out everything back.
I disagree. My 21 year old jute was just as nice and fluffy as the thermozite I installed. The jute was decaying but didn't smell all that bad. Think fresh bread vs 2 week old bread.

So I'm back from my trip to California and thinking of what's next for the cruiser. That's the good news.

My girlfriend who hadn't seen me for the last 45 days didn't skip a beat, spent the night at her house, woke up with her this morning. Started talking about my land cruiser and she said "You've got to decide which is more important to you, me or your silly truck thing".

Well, I'm driving the cruiser and headed nowhere. But at least I'm driving the cruiser.

Need to find a job and a place to crash while I get things back together. Damn that was a great trip.
How did I miss this gem?

I've been away from mine for a week and am going through withdrawals as I drive a Ford Fiesta rental.

I miss the smell of dust, gear oil, and wet dog.

Not technically the weekend but it is my weekend/break. Just found out today (4 days before school starts) that I'll be teaching 2nd grade so I put the cruiser to work today to move all my crap to my new classroom. This is only one of my runs with some school crap. Goodbye kindergarten, hello 2nd grade! Being a new teacher in California (specifically SD) sucks!
