Which one are you asking about? I have a few trucks with different set up king shocks! They ride from Cadillac boat ride up to super stiff until you start hitting big bumps and they smooth them out to nothing! Yes I do have KING shocks on all four corners with hydraulic bump stops!

The beauty of these custom shocks are that you can valve them and set them up however you seem fit.

Next up is double throwdowns I want to try but have to save up a few mo the to do so.

Do you have enough for every day of the week yet?

Driving down a gravel road I figured out that Mr T knew what he was doing with the bumper design on the 80. When you cut the wings of the bumper off you end up with rocks on your hood. This was one of 5 that spit up. A couple hit the windshield but didn't do any damage. I slowed down after that.

So I happen to swing by certain vender from mud and got a head start on everyone......officially land cruiser #3 with one of theses babies!

How is the King unit for return to center?
So, I have been driving without a stabilizer because my OME restricts the return to center of my rig.

Yes but he is lucky that he was at a point by staying left he could get out to a good road without any trouble.
If you have not done it put it on your to do list. An over the top scenic 100+ miles of dirt.

This is some of the road he came down.

And just like that a random person online managed to add something to my bucket list.

One week late, we pulled in the driveway last Sunday at 3am after driving 986 miles only stopping for food and fuel. Round trip was just short of 2600 miles, and the hardest I've ever wheeled the 80 over the course of the week. Always had it in the back of my head that it had to get me almost 1000 home, but there wasn't much we said no to as a group. Now it just needs more gearing.

You seriously need to start a build thread.
All you who agree hit like button.
You definitely have something that is working for you. I like it. I like it alot.
I know the basic about your rig but I want to know more details.

Return to center is not any different compared to before. Are you saying your steering wheel return to center normally without damper at all and with OME it doesn't return to center? Did you adjust the steering box?

I did snug up my box like an 1/8th of a turn way back... but even without a stabilizer it returns to slow. I'm even over corrected in caster which should help it be better, but does not.

My best memory of White Rim was in a rental j**p ( :o ) playing support truck to my stepdad, who biked the whole 102 miles in a single day at the age of 60ish. Woulda been better in a Yota, but my '84 rustbucket didn't get along with I-70. Both my parents shame me with their athleticism.

Amazing, that is a tough work out for one day for any age. I was not able to make the trip in one day driving my Land Cruiser. 400 pictures might of been part of my problem.

I'm pretty sure you over tighten the adjustment screw.....ask me how I know. :bang:

I would put it back, it might wear out the gear if it's too tight.

On White Rim, The scale alone is epic. Can you spot the Toyota in this pic?

There's a toyota in this pic too. It's just a small cliff that you drive 20 feet from the edge.

It's like an advertising shot for Toyota, or Tepui. (let me know if you want advertising rights guys, my buddy took the shot!)

I'm in this pic, a crazy land cruiser owner. My buddy wouldn't walk out there. I didn't think it would be a good idea to drive the land cruiser out there.

You wont be disappointed

Damn! I Definetly live on the "wrong coast"! I'm so jealous of the wheeling available to those of you that live West of the Mississippi!

I think one of you guys needs to contact Google Maps and sell them on a LandCruiser version of the Google Maps car. Then we can have street views of all these trails.

They tried that on the Rubicon.
