Went for a bike ride and found this American rally muscle car parked in front of me. I can finally say Ford got it right this time. View attachment 1299613
Yes cool car. I'd hardly call it a muscle car though.Went for a bike ride and found this American rally muscle car parked in front of me. I can finally say Ford got it right this time. View attachment 1299613

It took quite a bit of slicing and filing to get it in there and it's a super tight fit. At least it won't vibrate loose when I'm on the washboard forest roads like my stereo.
I've noticed a grinding noise coming from the back sometimes when I'm braking, usually when pointed downhill. I pulled the calipers off today and everything looks normal. Plenty of pad still there and the rotors look fine. I put a little grease on the caliper pins on the DS because they looked a little dry. When rotating the hub forward or backwards to check for grinding sound I noticed some play and a clunk. Normal??

I tried to peel of nice and clean, but I was all over the place! I might need a wheelie bar as well!...

Looks/sounds normal to me
was the wheel off the other side?
A lot of the hollow clunk sound is probably the hub on the other side moving slightly inside the rotor hat because it isn't clamped by the wheel/lugnuts.
Even then, there is a bit of slop in the splines/spider gears/diff/driveshaft/transfer case/etc. Could easily account for the play back and forth.
How'd you get your Kenwood deck to sit out in front of the dash? Mine is a little recessed. It's not horrible but it definitely looks like it doesn't belong. Yours looks a lot cleaner.
