Last two weekends I've worked on my dads Tundra and his buddies T100. Today I get to do a full tune up on my 1994 Camry DD.

MAYBE NEXT WEEKEND I can finally start my dual battery setup!

I ditched 4 wheels for two feet. We did 49 miles in three days at Grand Teton NP.

You were literally 20 min from me. I live just north of Iowa City. Holler on your way back if you need a place to crash or shower.
Thanks! I'll see what my timing is coming back next Sunday. I'll have my 19 year old daughter with me (picking her up in Loveland Thursday, then the two of us are gonna explore for a couple days ). I almost messaged you when I stopped last night to see if you wanted to meet up for breakfast but i knew i would be rolling really early.

Finally got around to planning and prepping my aluminum console dashboard thingy to hold my switches I had fabbed up 3 years ago! Managed to get 16 round switches plus a dual 4.2A USB port on it. Been having trouble identifying how to label the switches but I found these legend plates for 3/4" round switches.

Going to try a few out and have them engraved with the switch function. No lighting feature at night but I'll rig up a couple of low voltage LED's that shine down on them from under the cigarette lighter, should work out fantastic.

Just got back from a week in the Eastern Sierras. Coyote Flats, Monache Meadows and a couple days on the Kern.

Cruiser ran amazing. Engine temp only touched 200 once.* The climb up to Coyote Flats that tops out at 10k elevation. It was mid day, outside temp was 103, we gaining 5000 in elevation in something like four miles. Truck ate it up.

*One thing I did notice was some strange temp spikes that lasted a second on my Bluedriver ODBII scanner. The scanner showed a temp of 416 lasting about a second. My temps averaged 180-195 throughout the trip. This seemed to be connected to the AC some how. Any thoughts?

Last couple months updates. OEM New radiator, t-stat, water pump, hoses and clamps, belts, blue fan clutch mod, complete front end rebuild, new shocks (OME), new oem rotors, EBC green pads 100 series front, center diff switch and 7 pin mod, priceless. Thank you @beno for the help!

Fabing on the 80 and testing out my new awesome swamp cooler in the Arizona summer. 25° drop is about as good as one can expect. Now if I only had about 3 or 4 more.

Built an easy front bolt on bolt off receiver for moving my junk around.

I aligned my front end since the steering wheel has been off center since I got my 80 almost a year ago. I will probably start saving up for some caster brackets or plates because my caster is at -2 degrees. When I was done doing my alignment I rebalanced my tires and rotated them. I was also hoping to do my rear brakes but no one had the discs in stock so they will have to wait till Tuesday, Monday I'll be doing my front brakes.

Took the family up 14N34A which branches off the end of the Rubicon near Homewood in Tahoe. This is the Noonchester mine road. Easy drive up with amazing views. Even stopped by the Rubicon staging area just to snap a pic!

Been a wild couple of weeks. Last week was FJ Summit as a Tepui vendor. On the drive to Ouray, the AC crapped out so we had a few toasty hours in the truck. Once we got there the AC worked fine except for one day where it got warm again for about an hour on the trail. The 6 hr drive home was 100* and no AC. Yep, sweaty mess. FJ Summit was really great though, except for the lack of real Cruisers. :)

This week was also crazy. Started a new job on Monday after 3 months of unemployment. However, the lease on our new office space hadn't been signed so we had meetings in a hotel conf room all week. Next Monday should be Day 1 in the actual office. It was made crazier because we were having all the carpets in the house replaced on Monday and Tuesday. So after getting home late on Sunday from CO, we moved half the house so that carpet could be laid the next morning. Monday night was spent moving all that stuff back and moving the rest of the house into those rooms so carpet could get laid on Tuesday. Tuesday night and each day since has been moving crap back into it's place and moving our kids into different bedrooms. Oh yeah, and my wife was out of town with a group of teenagers that she's a leader for. So I got to do that stuff and juggle kids on my own.

All's well that ends well. I have an appointment Monday morning to have the AC fixed, my wife returned home today and I've been able to sell half a dozen Tepui tents this week. I'm finally taking a breath and will share some pics from FJ Summit soon. This week will be week 1 in the new office of a new job and juggling Outdoor Retailer with Tepui. Good times.

Taking 80s tech to a whole new level. Cleaned and sanded the new old grill, painted flat black to match existing trim, masked off and painted letters.

Notched the old '91 new grill to fit flush on my '95.

I really like how it turned out for some upfront Toyota representation. The white on the lettering may be a bit too bright white and may need to be muted a little, but I will see how it looks after a few weeks.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
