Pictures of the dislocated knee cap or it didn't happen.

Dude I thought about it seconds too late. I watched her second knee cap just shoot out and slowly pull behind her knee it was crazy. My pour wife was screaming and all I could do was try and calm her and hope the knee cap popped in on its own. When I saw her leg start turning in a way a leg is not supposed I knew it was going to be bad. She got lucky. The knee cap just started sliding back into place by itself.

Holy Cow, hope she makes a speedy recovery...

Spent more money on it...

Bought an XXI clutch

Prayers for a speedy recovery to her Joey

Next product from Wits End will be a multipurpose bracket that holds the kneecap in place, with 1 or 2 cupholders, embroidered padded cover, 34 electrical switches, onboard lithium battery, and has multiple phsyical therapy programs for range of motion exercises.....sadly, it wont be available until 2019. Man, I should get a tshirt for all these ideas I'm giving him. LOLOLOL

Hope your wife has a speedy recovery. Unplanned kneecap movement is not fun at all.

@NLXTACY Wow that is pretty crazy! Patellar Subluxation without some trauma or pre-existing ligament damage has to be very rare. The fact that it happened in both legs is shocking. If there isn't a history of hypermobility in her joints, I would definitely be pressing the doctors to look at more than just the injury. Joint instability and chronic musculoskeletal pain could be contributed to something more like EDS.

Pre-existing damage...just never that bad :(

I'll bet that scared the crap out of you.
Why did you drive in there?
Just driving in some mud without 4x4 lock and without download preasure discovering how drafting a bus wagon. Haha. When I go out to pedestrian the car go directly to the hole. Just put 4x4 and lock rear and the go out fine. Nothing broke or wrong. Fantastic car.

And how did you get out? Hurt anything?
4x4 and rear locker and go back. No problem to go out. Nothing hurt or broke.

That is super freaky.
What exactly was she doing when the knee cap started to move? Did it do it all by itself? No outside trauma?

She was doing her makeup on the floor cuz she wasn't feeling too good (she's a CPA and was working two weeks straights at 18hrs/day til the night before). She simple adjusted her legs and the left popped out. She was in pain and trying to use the bed to lift herself up. Her body shifted and her knee cap said bye bye.

This will not go away by itself and it seems it could be a recurrent problem since it happened virtually without much effort.

I wouldn't just rely on the brace and a hope for a good a speedy recovery.

I think thats Dragos' way of saying he will cut her some slack on her parking jobs in the pictures seen while driving thread

Well, I DID have big plans for the truck today since I'm waiting on so much stuff on the Wits' End side of things. Then my wife dislocated her left knee cap. Then, while getting up after dropping from the pain, her right knee cap popped out and went neatly 180deg behind her knee. I watched in horror as her leg started bending THE WRONG WAY!!!

Nothing broken thankfully. But she has these two gnarly knee braces she has to walk around with for at least the next week. Ugh, there goes the weekend plans :(

That sucks man. Most of my family has genetically bad knees and knee cap dislocation is common for us. Same condition I think your wife has. I've had 3 surgeries to repair mine since the MCL is stretches or tears when the patella dislocates (usually). Both of my knees have had what they called a "lateral release" where they detached the outside patellar tendon so that there is no longer tension pulling the kneecap that direction. Both of my sisters have had the same procedure. So far so good for all of us. I haven't had any real issues since my last surgery about 15 years ago, except that I have no cartilage anymore so my knees get sore after hiking or playing soccer etc.

best of luck to your wife.

We go in next week for a consult. Her cartilage is nearly gone as well.

$38 worth of "Lift Supports Depot" hood struts installed. Ordered through Amazon. Made in Turkey. The hood no longer threatens to fall on my head and they're functionally identical to the Toyota units, only not leaked out and weak. Good times ahead.

So I decided to hit my black plastic dip with graphite plastic dip. Hard to see it the pic but looks great in person, once I change tires I wanna do bronze.
