40s are on to stay. Cut the front fenders today. 5.29s and full axle rebuilds coming soon.

Front has approximately 15 degrees in it at the brow. It's bent behind the first and again behind the second crossbars.

Trying to keep it as tight to the body as I can without being overly complex. It's actually lower overall than the factory roof rack so far.
When are you going to start a build thread... this is awesome... you have such a nice rig.

Quite a weekend for the LC.

First I had to pick up this trailer I accidentally bought on govplanet. I didn't think they really sell for $90. They can. oops.

Then it was time for camping with the kids.

And I found product I really wanted and didn't know existed! I'm really disapointed that @NLXTACY oil change thread didn't include this! C'
mon!

Yes, that's an oil funnel that screws into your 1FZ-FE. No more spills, no more trying to shove a regular funnel down the tiny hole in the side of the oil filler hole. It also fits the 4.7 and 4.6 V8 Toyota engines. Maybe it would fit a 3FE?

It has a rubber seal on it so it doesn't leak. I love it.

For anyone that does their own oil changes on the 1FZ-FE, it's pretty cool.

Technically this has taken over two weekends so far.. not used to working stainless, and def don't have all of the correct tools to make this quickly.

2.5" 304 SS into stainless cats with home-built heat shields out of 20ga 304 sheet.. then over the xfer rear output into a very expensive 3.5" merge pipe.

The muffler I planned on is WAAAAAY louder than I wanted. But I'll put it all together and hack it out if I can't stand it.

I really wanted to keep this thing quiet.. but there's not much room under there, let alone for enough pipe diameter to accomodate the 400 horsepower.

Installed front Slee springs. I had OME 850J coils for about 5 years and just thought I'd switch it up and to match the Slee rears. So far they feel comparable to the J coils...maybe a tad firmer. I guess I'll have to wait til next weekend to try them offroad.

Unfortunately one of the bottom nuts on my Fox Shocks is seized on the shaft. A big bummer since they are less than a year old. Not quite sure how I'll get it off, as I can't hold the shaft in place strong enough to keep it from spinning. Might just use a dremel and try to cut the nut carefully and try to repair the threads on the shaft.

Are those315/75/17? Look nice. My Fox shocks had a hole for a allen wrench on the end of the shaft. Does yours have that?

Is that how you are supposed to do that? I thought you are supposed to do that with a hammer and a block of scrap wood on the living room floor of your "employer supplied housing unit" (also known as a single wide!).
We're all at different life stages. At 40 and single I'm allowed to have more toys.

LOL. i am older than you and married, i dont know if i feel sad that i dont have a nice press or happy that can work on drive shafts in my living room drinking a beer and no one cares.;)
Honestly it was fun. Actually if you get them all cleaned up nicely it works very nicely to gently tap them together with a small hammer. The disassembly is actually a lot harder than assembling the nice clean parts.

I used to do it that way years ago before I had a press. And then moved on to the vise. Having the press though has payed for itself many times over. Bushings, u-joints, struts, bearings, whatever... if you got the space available for one get it.

Finally decided to order the ladder for my Slee bumper. I've had the bumper and tire carrier since early 2012, at that time Slee sold the tire carrier and ladder separately. When I orderdbit I was told that there were no guarantees that it would fit properly because of manufacturing changes over the years. I took full liability if it didn't. Ben at Slee told me this was the last one they had and they would never have another separate from the bumper. So, that made up my mind for me. Judging by the amount of dust covering it, I would say it's been on a shelf for a while. Well, it went on easily and fits perfectly.

I've ruined two u-joint crosses by the needle bearings moving around due to hammering. Second one was even trying to be careful.

A press and fabricating a small bracket to push on the appropriate part of the joint (vs the center) fixed that.

Made a window screen for at least one side today. Might make one for the otherside we'll see. Used some 9 gauge galvanized utility wire and some window screen material. Fits perfectly in the outer window channel.

While your still wrking out the bugs (har) on those screens, you may want to consider finer mesh. That doesn't look like it will keep out no se ems when you visit the south.
