Great looking 60!
What window film is that?
Thanks! That film was put on 20 years ago and it’s held up good with no fading or discoloration. I believe it was 3M 50%. I didn’t want too dark. Nothing on the drivers or passenger windows.

Dang. It's held up well. Mine had tint on it too from that vintage but it was purple on the inside so I pulled it. Just trying to find a good replacement

Seems like ceramic is what the kids use these days. What I will be installing for sure.

That's what I did with mine. Peeled off the period-correct mirror tint and went with clear ceramic. It has a very slight tint, but nothing noticeable.

Top is after mirror tint removal and bottom is after clear ceramic.

Thanks for this. Tinting of front windows is not allowed here in Germany so I've asked my guy here if we can do 'clear' ceramic on the windshield and front windows. He said as long as it's 'invisible', we should be OK. That looks *almost* invisible. ;)

It's basically invisible. All the light in, but none of the heat. 👍

been working on a front axle rebuild for the bj60 out in the driveway. didn't work out so great with the turn in the weather. not my best idea but nevertheless carrying on.
put together some longer 70 series based lift springs. u-bolt flip kit. put in some used bilsteins that measure out to correct lengths, possibly need small spacer under bumpstop, maybe. regeared with an 80 series 4.10 lsd, inspected and added shim for higher preload. mix and match driveshaft for higher angle joint at t.case end. will need to add longer brake hose. going to test drive before deciding if i'm making extended links to keep the sway bar.
good to see it starting to come together.

3 months ago, when I purchased the truck, she was running and driving however had a raw fuel smell that would have you nauseous after a short 20 minute drive. I asked a local dealer to look it over and give me a report on what they found - essentially told me I needed to replace all fuel components (Injectors, Rail, Pressure Regulator, Fuel Dampener). They claimed:
  1. Rail wasn't holding pressure
  2. Leak onto the exterior of the engine
  3. The cold start injector was dumping fuel and was causing fuel to mix and raise the oil level in the pan.

I limped the truck home and began dissembling. One thing led to another and as I got deeper, I made decisions with a mindset of "might as well, while I'm here".

Items addressed so far:

While I still need to source some replacement vacuum lines and radiator hoses that were toast to begin with, feeling decent about the progress and looking forward to getting her back on the road.

Decided to stop procrastinating, Pulled the trans and transfer case, has typical leaks and they have gotten worse as of late and since its out, clutch and everything else will be replaced that is accessible while under there. I feel like I will spend more time cleaning than anything else.

When I rebuilt my transfer case it looked even worse than that - I got a big plastic bin and filled it with Purple cleaner and let my case halves soak overnight, it really cut out a lot of the grime.

I should have done that. Instead I spent way too long with a mini wire wheel on my cordless drill haha.
