But like with anything I'm looking at making some mods to fit my needs best...

Pulled it apart again, took the heat riser out, pulled the shaft out, then had both ends welded. Installed a block off plate, and put it all back together. Still lean spikes, but there’s an exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold to pipe gasket, so that’s ordered. In theory that leak can make it do weird stuff but I don’t think it’ll fix it.

What started as no reverse lights and ended up with repairing taillight harness and swapping to deutsch connectors. Found reverse wire broken and pretty much all terminals corroded and nasty. Lots of PO hacked up wiring for trailer lights. Everything works great now and hopefully good for another 30+ years.

@Rabrownmkiv I found this same thing on my old 60, and did what you've done here: rip all the old corroded wiring out and rebuild that whole area of the harness. Something about bundling wires and making nice organized harnesses is really satisfying.

Valve adjustment on the tan 60. In 4th gear, parking brake off, and we needed to roll it a little to set the next series of valves. Our "shop space" is not level nor smooth and we were just could not move the Cruiser mass enough to roll the engine around for the next valve set. Bring in the other 60 and winch to give it a few bumps to set things up to check the valves.

The 6x6 Ute is on all axles now. Pass through axle and rear suspension and linkage/arms are mocked up. Rear winch/hitch tray with a ComeUp Seal Gen 2- 12.5rs is test fit.

Over the next two weeks I'll get the chassis completely welded out and then pull the body and get it on the dolly and roll it to my paint shop.

Tony has talked me into making a full bed with tailgate. So that will be the next challenge.

One off custom bumper build for Dinkus. ComeUp Solo 12.5 on the tray. Baja designs squadron pro LEDs

1/4" shell, 3/8" winch tray and 1/2" frame/recovery brackets.

Waiting on the amber flush mount plates.

I might put a bullbar on it... but liking the open front right now.

The car feels far more stabile and controlled than before.
