Brought home a new FJ60 after 3 1/2 years out of the Land Cruiser game. My wife named her Tiny.
I'd seen her advertised on craigslist a few times over the last few years. The time and place was right and the price I was willing to pay. She is a bone stock 86 that is pretty much rust free unlike my last 60.

I finally fixed the leaky aftermarket gaskets and pump that began leaking immediately two years ago. Replaced with all OEM parts. Found an oil pressure sending unit from Napa. I’m finally reading oil pressure accurately! There’s a big fire not far from me. The air was heavy with smoke and ashes were dumping on us, but we got it all buttoned up just in time for this snow storm smack dab in the middle of a record heat wave. I love Colorado.

I did notice that someone has fixed the key slot in the crank shaft in the past. Fun.

Perfect 3 Day weekend for this swap. Bought the Premium Holley Sniper Kit from "Mosley Motors" Great Kit High Quality parts and Accessories.
I had the services of a good friend to help with the electrical bits. Electrical anything intimidates the hell out of me. So the intent was to get it done in a day.
We did, it was a good 11 hrs. of quality wrench time. I didn't document a damn thing just a pic of the after. I'll need to hook up a return spring and do a little pedal adjustment. Biggest difference right out of the gate is throttle response! for now it'll be drive and adjust, let the unit learn. 100% satisfied.
 ✌ .

so you'll be ready to freeze your ass off at Windrock with us over New Years?

Had the dreaded "click". Sometimes I'd have to turn the switch a a dozen times before she'd start but today I rebuilt my starter solenoid. It was a time capsule in there. I also replaced my battery cables with quality parts from @cruisermatt. There was some corrosion issues that I didn't even know about. I was bothered by the SAE replacement terminal the PO put on there.

Finally swapped the old rusty heater coolant valve and pipes on the 3FE for fresh units.

I certainlly did alot of little stuff, but this was worth sharing..

I back flushed it after using prestone flush... Truck had been driven 300 miles in the last 10 years.. I think it was sitting in a field for most of that.
