What I have done.
Jack up Cruiser and put jack stands on the frame behind the spring hangers.
Support the axle, remove wheels, etc. Remove u-bolts. Disassemble shackle, remove rear spring pin. Repeat on side 2. Pull out springs. Roll axle out...
