What did you do with your 60 this weekend? (33 Viewers)

I was told when I bought it 10mo ago the truck needed an A/C compressor due to a really large leak at the shaft seal. I was bored at work so I thought “let’s see how bad it actually is”. Pulled vacuum for 10 minutes. It held. Charged 1.7lbs. It blows ice cold with no obvious signs of a leak. Drove home in 108 heat with the A/C on for the first time. It was a good day. Compressor is a bit noisy, but YOLO.

Quick follow up on these tires, since they run a little bit smaller than most, which is actually more preferable for me on my 60 series!

Actual tread width, or tread that hits the pavement with is 9.5 inches wide…Overall width at around 12 inches

Mounted on the truck it is exactly 34 inches tall.

Hope this helps anyone looking at these tires wondering how big they actually are

I am honestly shocked at how quiet they are on the road

Nice. I would like to go back to a 15" wheel and run the same size for more rubber. Also my 315/75r16 don't measure out to 35" like they supposed to with vehicle weight on them.

Check off bucket list... Pulled an engine by myself.

I cut an "access panel" , AKA hole, in the cargo floor of my 62 with snips in order to figure out what the source of my gas leak from fuel pump bracket was. It wasn't the gasket seal, as I assumed, but rather the hard line as it exits the bracket. The used part from Cruiser parts. net is clearly not worth the price paid for it. Oh well, I used steel stick tank weld on it and it's much better now.

Sorry, no photos. Too ugly.

Not really 60 related, but it’s in the background.

Rebuilt the Mikuni carbs on these old Sea-Doo’s, replaced the plugs, recovered the seats, etc. Bro-in-law picked them up for cheap on CL. Bought them non running, they both run now. We have to get them in water to see how well though.

The 60 was due for the front wheel spacers to be checked. Decided since it’s Fathers Day weekend to get the boy and show him how to change a tire and what parts are called.

All the wheel spacer nuts where still nice and tight. Blue loctite holding up well.
