Not much... Rounded up some cable to extend the ComeUp controller under the hood and deciding where I'll put the sign on Poppy's shop.

So far i have looked at the FJ and the awesome roof rack from trail-tailor leaning against the garage wall.
Knowing it will not go on for about a month (I would not be able to get it out of my garage with it on).
Tomorrow out come the seats and old carpet and start to prep the interior.

FR 76 between TresRitos and Angelfire.
Ah. Nice. Been over there on the motorcycle, never in the LC. Looks nice, I'm assuming National Forest, so camping is ok?

An ongoing combination of many many weekends, Jim c pulley in place of seized smog pump (gutted the pump but just didn't trust it enough to put it back in), new belts from @cruiseroutfit.
A hopefully resolved exhaust leak at the same place as in this thread
Exhaust leak, what is this part called? (serious PITA),
and mid rehab of skid plate from under radiator.
Tomorrow some primer and paint for that skid plate, hopefully on Monday radiator and everything else go back in

That is correct. Open country, pack out what you pack in. Leave no trace and enjoy mother nature.

Hauled 52 - 80b bags of cement during the last few days (4 loads). 4,160 pounds total...What a pain! The cruise handled it like a trooper, but man did it ever really suck the gas!

@pandasfj

Interested in the bilstien part numbers.

Nice work.. You should start a build thread to document everything.

@NookShneer , Thanks, sorry for the late reply but I've been out of town working. the Bilsteins p/n - AK7110SB05 with 275 valves for the rears and AK7110SB06 with 360 valves for the fronts. I'll be doing a build thread in the next couple of months, time is limited due to work and I need to find some earlier pictures I lost.

Cheers,

Gil

replaced diff fluid in the rear, greased driveshaft slip, greased u-joints, swapped out fill and drain bolts with allens from toyo dealership. Talk about a pain: the fill was totally locked on and heading towards stripped. Heat, PBBlast and impact with a ground down 15/16" finally got it free (+1 on using an impact sloooowwwly :bounce:). Now I realize I need to pull the diff cover and 3rd member and redo the gaskets since I still have a leak-thought it was the drain.....nope.

I did get to take it out to the coast last night and do some illegal camping with it though!

T,

Did you go over Union Pass? Georgeous area!! Nice shot of Flattop

Not this trip. Spent most days hiking. One or two in the trailer during heavy rain. Went wheeling on the spur tracks off the moose gypsum road but too greasy and unsafe even fully locked. Washed her off in the river.

MG and 2 tracks can GET NASTY and stay that way for miles/days. It is some of the nicest scenery around though.

Finished thoroughly cleaning the rear bench seat assembly. This included many wash-soak cycles for the cover and foam cushion in the tub. The water that came out was NASTY! Air dried the covers and cushions for a few weeks. Removed the rust from the rear frame with an electrolysis bath and painted all parts. Made all new stainless steel cover rods so they never rust again. They look and smell great now. Still need to repaint the rear boarder frames for the backs .
