@NeverGiveUpYota Whoever worked on that last deserves a knuckle sandwich. I've never heard of a crank nut being welded to the pulley.

I would recommend replacing that nut. Clean up the harmonic balancer. Good to go. Good work so far!

Complete agree with A.... And don't know if the marring marks were there before but really looks like it. And looks like a PO tried using a chisel and sledge to get the thing loose. Talk to Onur to see if the nut is still available, and do some reading up because I want to say there should be a keyway on the nut and HB.

The nut is long discontinued from Toyota.

Used only.

I finally moved all of the restored interior pieces of the entire dash and interior out of my living room and put them back into the truck. No, not installed. Just placed them gently back into the truck.....

I am thinking of the unthinkable....

I had planned to get the paint correction job started. The misses and I ended up bringing a new puppy home. On the plus side I finally got around to organizing the garage. She fits! Also ordered a new OEM gas cap. Hopefully it will take care of the lingering gas smell.

Being self-employed means making difficult decisions for assets just sitting around. I am sure you can understand.

100% my man. See you tomorrow.

installed my Trail Tailor Firestik mount...now to figure out where to mount the transceiver

Marring was def there before me. PO said he had a new used harmonic placed in this truck so had to have been his garage who did all that... Aside from it looking like it just came back from war, it threads off and on fine. Thing came off easily once I broke the weld edge. Thanks friggen god for my moms old high speed dremel, thing eats metal up fast and easy. There is most likely is a keyway after all the reading here on mud... which is on this end of the cam. One guy showed pixs of his that he is fixing with weld... That is the one thing I am crazy angst'd up about when it comes to using the puller I rented to get the balancer off. So I've yet to do it. The foot of it hovers in the air; of the two sets of bolts that fit the threads, one is way too short and the other are quite long @ 4". I have a friend watching my son for a doc appoint I have tmrw AM and I'll be driving by my local Ace so I'll see about picking up a medium length. The anxiety is huge on this one. I have sprayed PB a number of times over the last few days. Another said I ought to pull the plugs which would help release the crank? How does that work exactly? Seriously I wish I could see inside the engine through a glass window. :)

I'll never understand why at times mud and my CPU don't want to be buddies but mud and my ph will. Whatever.
This is the foot of the puller on the balancer. Way the frig too much away from the HB?

Tomorrow, I'll do a little more welding and filing to repair my key way.
