I’m not a huge fan of diamond plating (in this case on a Kaymar bumper) due to the constant battle with oxidation however this blue goo and some elbow grease makes a significant difference.

Did the BEB's and an oil return bung today on Karen. #3 had a french fry zip around the journal, and some other weird marks, but the crank journal looked good. Other than shine on the top bearings from the load of the power stroke, they looked good. All plastiguage was in spec. Glad I did it. The oil return bung went pretty good too. The oil pans are 2 laminated layers and mine was pretty rusty on the outer layer so it needed to come off and get sand blasted. I will seal it up with a powder coat job in the morning (spray while hot and it is like liquid glue). What a great time to do the bearings and weld on the return!
No turbo upgrades needed. The intercooler just cools the air the turbo was already moving. The best off the shelf fit intercooler I've seen is made by Vibrant. Someone I follow on instagram is looking to start fabbing up sets for these our 70 series prados, I should check if they've made any progress on it.
Based on the custom setups I've seen, it looks like you could get away with ordering enough piping and maybe a small bead roller to throw something together. You might have to make a hold in your front core support unless you want to get crafty.
I appreciate the info on Vibrant. I haven't heard of them, but will check it out.
I'm very interested to know the status of the person you are talking about with potential fab kits since it would take out my leg work with research saving time which is saving money sometimes!
I did check out the roller and piping to build my own. It is kind of straight forward and the biggest part for me is to either cut the inlet piping to maintain the brackets for the EGT and throttle cable or figure out where I could mount those items to function properly so i don't have that many bends in the new tubing...
I installed a full U-bolt flip kit a few weeks ago. Pretty nice kit. The amount of ground clearance added is not nothin’. Seems a bit of up travel is lost with the kit, but increases the down travel. That’s a-ok for me as I have over sized tires and I’m running a low offset.
I also added Timbren extended active bump stops. They compress 2.25 inches. Direct bolt in and the extended and compressed lengths seem to be perfect for my suspension and tire setup.

I did something kind of similar on my 77, having a bypass thermostatic valve is key IMO. you can over-cool things if you're not careful. want the ATF to stay in the zone.

That's a lot prettier than the tool I made to rebuild the diff in the Hilux I had. It was scabbed together out of bits of square tubing and plate. you could totally just drill some holes in flat bar or tube and it would work fine. I know it's a flex to plasma cut one but if you got'em smoke'um.

Decided to replace the rear cross member because the old one had10 mm deflection, was rusty, could have whacked it, but I also want to blast the inside angle struts when dry.

I’m doing a snorkel install and want to replace the air box for better flow. Anyone have any recommendations besides building my own custom one?
the airbox flows much more air than you'll ever put through it,,,, the restriction will be the snorkel itself, for what its worth

A few got destroyed. There were quite a few that were seized that were destroyed or re exported. But the vast majority of them got released after a very long time. Some were left out in the open with open tops or windows and all sorts of damaged happened to themThat Land Rover story grows every time it’s told.
I’m reasonably sure only one was confiscated (and destroyed) while the others, after some litigation, were returned to their owners.
Keep the top portion and get an air box bottom that mimics a snorkel housing that was factory.
You’ll need to peruse parts catalogs to figure it out.
It will be a good experience for you.
Or, build your own/pay someone to build what you need.
