which is kinda funny really and just prooves the "overlanders" are all about stuff bolted on the vehicle, i mean, if your an overlander your driving from place to place letting your alternator charge batteries for the nights "influencer" posts on social media

all the solar panel really does is let you post to your social media outlets from the comfort of your driveway whilst not "overlanding" at all

My Solar panel simply charges the battery, that runs the refrigerator, which keeps the beer cold.

Where did you buy yours from? Can you send a pic of where you hooked it up to the auto trans please?

Oregon Performance Transmission is one of Tru-Cool's authorized re-sellers. I bypassed the radiator cooler. If you follow the (rubber ) cooler lines from the radiator, just a short distance back, you'll see the conversion to hard lines. Remove the old hoses and replumb with longer. It's easy.

It does. But I don't think all are created equal. Toyotas are weird. Electrical voodoo stuff I don't fully understand but I also had some other modules and one headlight was flickering and never had the hi-beam indicator. The PO installed my lights so had no idea what they were/are. The google led me to the JTX page. They describe the reverse polarity and grounding issues with Toyota lights. Boom. Ordered. Fixed.

To eliminate confusion we set out to make these as fool proof as possible. Simply plug these into the headlight sockets and then plug your new LED lights into these. And that’s all there is to it. No loom and no auto-elec’s needed.

These now fix all of the following …

• Negative or Earth switching which all toyotas have
• Reverse polarity issues
• Blue hi-beam dash light
• Spotties not coming on in high beam
• Some cars have computers polling to test loads and these satisfy those computers too.

No matter what brand of LED or even HID you are trying to use, if you have a Toyota or a Suzuki then you do need these and these are all you need.

You need 1 module per light. This listing is for 2 modules. If you have 4 lights you will need a second set.

Projects included a spill tray for under the oil filter, fixing door cards, remote entry, replacing some interior trim the previous owner kindly drilled holes in and folded up some new rear guards. Slowly getting it tidied up. I’m always planning the next mods or maintenance haha that’s landcruisers for you.

Looks like an Australian part number rather than a Toyota part number, supplied into the Toyota parts system (like a tow bar is or a ute tray).

Yeah from what I can tell they were a dealer installed option, gotta have factory central locking for it to work as only an upgrade which mine was only I had to use the key. They’re long since discontinued but found a kit online, basically some key fobs, the module and a patch harness.

Agreed such great service to, that’s why I have 2 sets they mistakenly send me a set for a 70 series with manual windows where I ordered a set for one with power windows. Absolutely not problems at all just cut me a new set and mailed them over

My Japanese girlfriend got new lube in the front and rear differential and transfer case. Plug was doing its job and for 360k, all three look to be in good shape! Waiting for my snorkel to come in before I have to measure 700 times and cut once

Does anyone know where I can either get an inlet piping adapter for the throttle body or have an old inlet pipe from the turbo to the throttle body they don’t need? I’m doing an intercooler setup and cannot locate an adapter for my 94’ 1KZ-TE. Only kits I can locate are ones for above 2000 models and apparently they changed the throttle body piping design….

Sweet baby Jesus! Thank you for the links to the adaptor AVL KZJ78!!!! That is not a bad idea actually with being able to keep your connection for your EGT and other parts on the inlet piping. I guess cutting the inlet pipe will work just the same with saving some money. This is probably a stupid question, but do you need to upgrade the turbo with adding the additional piping and cooler? Are you buying an intercooler kit or piecing it together? There are lots of cheap intercoolers so I was told to look at Garrett and Spearco to name a few.
