Was going to buy new ones, but after a full strip down, sand blast and repaint. (prefer red to the bronze turn buckle). Ready for fitting as and when.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I have fixed hubs on my 75, can I swap in the aisin locking hubs directly or do I need different axle shafts?
I did this on mine. Same axle shafts. Check my build thread

Soak it in a good penetrating oil and don't look at it until next year. It's celebrating time, you know?
Get a good puller and a torch and it should come off. 🤞
Good Luck Ralf

Finally added custom support bars for my roof rack to fit my new tent since the rack I got didn’t have attachment points. I also added rubber support mounts (jack stand rubber tops from Amazon sanded to fit snug) all the way around the lip to balance the weight since the bars in the middle are just for attaching the tent. I’m sure there are other ways to do it, but works for me. Now it is time to tackle replacing the electric hubs (new ones coming from Japan) brake calipers and pads (from 94’ 4Runner as per cross referencing) and front rotors for upgrading. Having a hard time picking slotted rotors that will work and for what vehicle to cross reference. Anyone have suggestions? I found videos on the forums but they don’t have slotted rotors….

New brake Master Cylinder. Parts geek had this one for the 70 series and it was $92! Has Aisan cast into it… Brakes are sooo much better now. Old master was sticking and fluid was old and contaminated.

PartsGeek part number?

Pitman arm removal…..after going through my puller , ripping off its feet, a local farmers puller wouldn’t do it as the arms were too wide, I spent a good part of the afternoon making up a “Tailor made” base plate.

I was not wanting to beat the merry hell out of this, as a lot of expensive damage can be brought about by abusive actions, no matter how resilient the job was.

Hydraulic puller at its limit 10 ton so with a little heat …BANG💥 off came the arm.
👍.
I’ll dismantle the box another day.
