Hood props

Where did you source them?

Have you closed the hood with them on yet? (Do they appear to push up on the rear edge of the hood when closed?)

Mark,
Chris @c2dfj45 developed these a few years ago. A post yesterday indicated that cruiserhead.com is now carrying them via the store front.

FYI There additionally 70 series accessories, such a door speaker pods, that Chris offers via his company. You may want to research both and then place your order where it works best. {I plan to place an order with Chris soon (as soon as we catch up after a string of bigger costs this summer)}

We have plenty of hood struts ready to go :) they've been really popular for the 60 series guys as of late. Need the 70s guys to catch up :)

We had one 60 series have an issue with the hood popping up 1/16".....couldn't figure that out. Haven't had any issues on the 70 series. Maybe some of the hoods have a little more play in the hinges than others. I'll have to check my trucks to confirm.

My drivers side rear of hood is raised a little bit compared to the other side, no idea why. That’s on my Ute.

Interesting. I checked my trucks and nothing is out of alignment that I can see. I'm not really sure how the strut could be causing a change in how the hood sits since it's collapsed when closed and almost horizontal.

I have a cab with the front end attached that I'll have to put a set on to see if anything changes. Doesn't appear the hood has ever been removed from this particular body so it will be a good test.

Yeah no idea. Maybe the hinge on that side is bent or something. It’s not by much

Replaced the turbo on my '92 LJ73.

Need to run a compression test-like start to prime the turbo... Not interested in testing the compression, actually. Does anyone know if I'm ok only pulling the ignition and fuel pump fuses, w/o disconnecting the fuel/glow plugs from the engine directly? Working on a 2L-T.

Thanks

Added a layer of foam soundproofing in the front floors area, got the rear wooden floor bolted down with an extra layer of sound and moisture absorbing underlayment.

Probably a good opportunity to find out if your 70 Series leaks anywhere. 😊
