Slightly rusted / pitted slave cylinder, old too , couldn’t even get it to bleed.

Thank for bearing with me.
Emissions check worked well. 3900rev and good test results 👌 I guess, applying an engine cleaner with the last two oil changes,
switching to synthetic oil and a bit of voodoo diesel-soot-free in the fuel made all the difference. Happy.
Cheers Ralf

I bought a rustproofing sprayer from the Woolwax people.
Sprayed most of the underside with waxy oily anti-mouse gunk from NHOU.
Found rust hiding behind muffler heat shield. Scraped and soaked it with gunk.
Drove hundreds of miles to buy used MGB GT doors.
Painted the FRP top's side window frames.
Used propane torch to remove the winch's nylon fairlead bushings.
Will clean the rollers and install new delrin bushings.

I’ve tried a variety of center console / armrest combinations, including some EBay crap that just ended up in the trash can, but I think I’ve finally hit on the solution. 😊

So.... Radiator decided to bleed red out of the top seam, that cost me $1k for a re cored radiator, I'm taking the opportunity to switch to waterless coolant. I'm currently flushing out all the rust and will be using the prep fluid to purge all the water out. I am taking the opportunity to install my A pillar gauge pod and plumb in the pyrometer and boost gauge. I had to do some serious trimming to the SAAS A pillar to get it to fit I used Rust-oleum 2k ultra cover satin finish in Granite color, matches pretty well to the interior. So with EGR/Butterfly valve delete and Pyro installed on rear exhaust port I've peaked at 825 degrees. I have a manual boost controller installed and I'm experimenting with that now. EGT's stay the same with 12 psi boost, I read 8PSI max stock.

Rustoleum gloss black on Troopy floor to help seal it up and to provide a clean surface for the sound deadening to stick to.

i wish I could have a bed in my BJ74.
I have one in my BJ73.
Well, not a permanent one.
I have a NATO stretcher, which I hang from the rollcage with some straps.
The outer stand on the bottom sits thight in a sling attached to the rollcage seatbelt bracket and prevents too much swing.
The NATO stretcher has ideal dimensions:
- When rigged up, it exactly fits between the back door and the passenger seat folded forward. Hight even allows to sit on it (well tugged head down a bit), and fridge and boxes still fit under it.
- When collapsed, the foot- & head-sections fold in. The thing then exactly fits on the floor between the back door and the front seat (in comfy seating position).
Cheers Ralf

That's pretty slick @Felde!

I made a removable extension to the drawer in my 74. I'm 5'9" and fit ok. Used it with an Exped Megamat, it worked fine though ingress and especially egress were major Pains in the A. If I were starting the storage system from scratch instead of adding on to existing, I'd build the storage shorter so the rear door latch was accessible from the inside, that would have made a big difference.

Still beat setting up a tent in the pouring rain...

I always figured you could stretch a hammock in the back of a Troopy too, especially from corner to corner.

Cheers
