Here’s the corresponding HDR. Wish I could share the full image size! So sharp and so much detail!

Changed the oil, topped off coolant and burped after rear heater line delete, bled fuel system of air, replaced speedometer cable then drove her for the first time in months...satisfied. Although I now have to track down why she won't shut off when I turn the key off. Gotta be a vacuum thing.

Oil change, locker switch repair and hood struts 🆒 More on that soon.

G'Day Fella's,

A little while ago, I dropped off my rear bumper, and 4 x brackets, to be powder coated.
I picked them all up last week, and bolted them back onto the Battle Cruiser.

Here, you can see the welded on "T" hole end plates.
Also, this gives you a look at the finish/texture, of the Wurth, "Stone Guard and Corrosion Protection", on the LHS rear guard.

I'm now in the process, of making a replacement Tow Bar.

Yessir w/ OEM 5mm hardware. Was going to go 4mm but it felt just a tad too small.

Crap. Now I have to drill out the rivets to keep up with the Williams's :flipoff2:

The rivets are totally workable and clean, I just get OCD on occasion and have been fleshing out hardware sheets over the last decade and want to use them :D. We now have over 700 pieces of Toyota hardware in stock, bolts, washers, studs, ball studs, cotter pins, screws, etc. As we order them in or pull lists of them from the old microfiche hardware sheets, we measure and catalog them by type, OD of fender washers, color of hardware, etc. We have them organized in the big parts drawers in the shop, you'll have to peak at them. One thing I've found very interesting during this process is the pricing. a 5mm x 12mm length screw w/washers can be 5 cents, but the 10mm long variant of the same screw can be 81 cents. Same with bolts. There are some that are stupid cheap (91611-61020 for example) and others are crazy expensive for a near similar shape. Not shocking, just interesting :D

I think the nutserts are a great idea....maybe it should be a future upgrade!

Mondays are best when 2 of these are in the shop. #1 getting some work before doing a weekend at Sebring with it for the 12 hour and #2 getting......well.......everything.

Over 100 different suppliers for hardware alone in the Toyota-Japan keiretsu.

G'Day Fella's,

One thing to consider is, Steel POP Rivets don't rattle loose, and then fall out (like Bolts can).
What I do to help stop Smaller bolts from coming loose, is to apply a dob of silicone sealant, to the heads of these bolts.
This can help to stop tightened bolts from coming loose, when they are in a high vibration environment.

Hope that helps

That doesn't surprise me at all. We've been using the decode charts from old microfiche and EPC versions to track down hardware and supercessions but Dan just learned me on the 1st digit of the 2nd set of digits being the hardness of said hardware. I don't recall having ever seen that tidbit. At this point I've just been ordering 5-10 of each available set of part numbers (93315-15006, 93315-15008, 903315-15010...... ) with plans to spread the drawers from 5-6 drawers to an entire cabinet so they aren't so stuffed. We've been able to use nearly all OE hardware on our bumper fit-kits for example... I'd like to be able to do an ARB bumper install in the future with an all OE JIS hardware option down the road.
