That doesn't surprise me at all. We've been using the decode charts from old microfiche and EPC versions to track down hardware and supercessions but Dan just learned me on the 1st digit of the 2nd set of digits being the hardness of said hardware. I don't recall having ever seen that tidbit. At this point I've just been ordering 5-10 of each available set of part numbers (93315-15006, 93315-15008, 903315-15010...... ) with plans to spread the drawers from 5-6 drawers to an entire cabinet so they aren't so stuffed. We've been able to use nearly all OE hardware on our bumper fit-kits for example... I'd like to be able to do an ARB bumper install in the future with an all OE JIS hardware option down the road.

Yeah been doing the same thing.

Toyota hardware just has something special to them.

And the numbers provide so much information. But the new localized production 90080-XXXXX numbers blow.

Installed my winch, fabbed up a mount for it too!

G'Day Fella's,

As I mentioned above, I need to make a tow bar, for the Battle Cruiser ........................

Whilst the rear bumper was removed.

1.5 meter length, of 65mm x 65mm x 5mm wall thickness, RHS.

I decided, the tow bar needed to be a bit (16.5mm) lower (hence the additional 12.5mm holes).

tidied her up a bit.. lights.. trim bar.. flares.. snorkel... getting ready to dry fit the new top mount intercooler.. picking up the internally/ exterior ceramic coated intake & exhaust manifolds.. the new ceramic coated billet CT20 is lonely.. just 3 & 5 angle cut the valves in the new re-assembled head.. new stand alone EMS will be here in a week..
bear with me.. although I get shot down a lot on this site.. I know there are l/c guys that will be interested..
final goal: crackproofed... 220ftlb & 125hp @2500rpm :)

Got the #1's speaker pods done....headed to the 12 hour Sebring race this weekend and figured driving with a little more sound wouldn't be a bad thing. Ran a 6.5" shallow speaker mounted behind the pod so I can run an OEM flush grille. 6.5s sound way better than the 5.25s in the 73.

Big thanks to Cruiserparts for NOT getting me the speaker grilles I ordered 3 weeks ago. I don't know why I even deal with those guys. Unfortunately oak grilles are NLA....they had them. Or so they said.

Installed some dual 9" SPAL fans we had for this project that never got installed when we built it......trying to help a little with cooling for the 1FZ when running the AC in our swamp heat. Not the coolest running motor due to the positions of the fan/shroud/radiator/motor. I have a scan gauge now in the truck so I can obsess over the temps....I liked it better when I was staring at the factory temp gauge's needle that never moved.

@AndrewHadji told me he recently bought some nice cup holders for his Troopy and in an effort to keep up with the "Andrew's" I decided to do the same. I elected to splurge and get the expandable model which can hold up to 4 medium sized cups. :)

Run a couple deck screws down through that bad boy to hold it still and you will be golden. :hillbilly:

Enjoying a somewhat rainy 12 Hour Sebring race. Getting spoiled with this truck and how easy it is to set up and enjoy.

Added hitch.. recently found a quirky vintage aluminum camping trailer & a classic bike rack & canvas bike cover... finally tried the 52v 24ah ebike battery with 1500w sine wave inverter... nice:)
pics at Pismo Dunes..
So I've put on around 2000 miles in the last 2 weeks picking up treasures - Trailer Bakersfield 450 r/t.. bike rack & cover Delano 550 r/t... CAPS ceramic coatings Fresno 400 r/t (one more r/t to go)
& I've notices the following.... my l/c drives BETTER with the 33×12.5 tires than it did with the stock oem rims/tires..
- with the big tires revs & kph are spot on with all mph reading devices.. from 25 -70 ... mileage around 25-27mpg @60-70 on the highway.. and here in central California nothing is flat.. all hills & mountains..
-acceleration up hills is quinker
-after long hill Temps drop quickly
Can't wait to get the upgrades package installed...
