Mystery toggle switch. Marketed as for a 40 series. When I bought it, it just looked unique and while I had no plans for it, I grabbed it.

Bought it 10-15 years ago. It doesn’t seem to be in my eBay history anymore, which seems odd but maybe I bought it elsewhere. I don’t remember much about it. I do recall it shipped from Tehran.

6 wires. I believe it was marketed as DPST. Seems too small to be illuminated, but then the wire count seems odd, especially as two of them appear to be grounds.

Any gurus know what this is? Is it even Toyota?

That is a rare switch indeed

Check out this Mud thread for tons of info about the switch and wiring

Cool intel, thanks guys! Last night I attempted to remove the rubber boot for a look under the hood, searching for a part number. kicking myself for that. Developed a few tears in the rubber boot.

Let that be proof that I’m far less attached to this than you all. I should be sure it ends up in the right hands sooner and not later.

oh no ?

i have at least 2 tech. pics of that unique OEM black boot pulled away well to see all the details that matter ........

ill post them when time permits ..

i have hunted for this particular switch , as its non-oem Toyota form out there ...

i have located the exact metal instructions data-plate japan made , but not this exact switch .yet ...

many many close close ones , but back side terminals / little tabs layout not the same ?

the sparky heavy duty tough as nails cog-looking retainer ring , is the most important visual detail like the data plate ON / OFF ,

'
there is a practical application modern day 2025 use for it per mr. @Coolerman

You have a proper aftermarket? That sucks.

We still have decent stock on the OEM, but that will change fast. We're already working on a modified OEM and a good quality aftermarket. We've got a few aftermarket options en route to test fit.

Toyota Parts Deal is not a real-time inventory, or a dealer, or accurate photos for that matter. See Bad Sellers section for much more on that.

It's C9 class code. The discontinuation is recent. As such naturally you'll find plenty of stocking outlets with many still available and some lingering at actual dealers as well. A quick dealer search shows Corwin Springs Toyota and Elk Grove Toyota each have (1). We have a few around as well :D

Gates and AC Delco...Lol.
I rarely see non OEM hoses that fit correctly. I don't have problems with Gates or Delco as long as they are the right fit and not some

19231-45020, subs from 19231-22010 (Our part# DIST45020), there is 1 IN ROCK SPRINGS, WY, perhaps others floating around at dealers.
We've got a handful in my hoard.

I wonder what the Ratio / % of Disc. / NLA Part #’s to Part #’s that are now Alive once again is in this thread actually is … ?

im sure hope this might help that % + get closer to us ...... 🤔

i have spent more then 1 Full Rotation + ( year + ) closer to 2ish , i will openly confess going every which way only to strike out in efforts to find a existing 90101-10269 that met and or exceeded the original in every single way of course as always .....

i then contacted my folks in J.I.S. land whom Kustom make to order my #7 mark head ASCO / AISIN hub dial M6 Double SEMS Yellow Zing Gold Plated , Violet Blue Silver , & Soon to be added that line-up Nickle Plated ......

- so Kustom made to order became the new path , and the only path ,,,,,

- 100% Made in Japan spec. bolt :wrench:🪄

- The OEM original is a #7 JIS mark head , i spec'd higher , and this is what they could offer me below , '

- there Silver Blue zinc plated & , J.I.S..in every way

- these apply to 1962-1985
