I would try cutting the small end of the hard line off about .25 in from where it starts to get bigger and try to shove the hose on well past the leaky spot and clamp it above that point. If you get enough purchase on the big end of the pipe it should hold just fine. Maybe double clamp it for extra insurance.

If there isn't enough room to cut the pipe and slide the hose up, then you may be able to get away with some JBWeld as a patch. Clean real well, then put something that will expand to fill up the pipe, like an earplug, that covers the hole from the inside. Smear JBWeld around the hole on the outside then cover with tape to smooth the JBWeld out.

Failing that, replace the pipe. As for bleeding, the transmission should bleed itself, so be prepared to make a few short trips and top the transmission off until it's full at the HOT mark. Let it cool, then check the low mark as well.

All I can think (if the 2 hard lines can be separated) is to cut off the pipe before the taper (larger OD side), flare the end, then get a hose for that size pipe and join it to the stock hose with the appropriate Male-Male reducer fitting. Not sure that this is even a good idea due to the high pressure of the line.

Boom. Cut, Flare, and off you go. If that means you have to purchase more soft line to make the reach just be sure it is made for tranny fluid or that spongy feel will rapidly return.

Their is officialy no more room for me to put anything else in this shifter console after a Transmission temp gauge, ScanGauge II, National Luna Dual Battery monitor, aux cig lighter & USBs.

It's actually been pretty good. Originally I thought otherwise but I it turned out to be a bad battery due to parasitic draw and sulfatation. Once I tracked down the drain and replaced the starting battery, it's been superb.
The panel mount monitor is not in their kit and has to be purchased separately.

Is this the kit you have? It appears to come with the panel mount monitor.

That's the one but I bought it off a Mud member without the cable. I used West Marine marine grade cable and bought the panel mount monitor from Equipt.

It is an LC9, the Vortec variant.
LC9 Crate Engine - Race Engine | Chevrolet

Compare the intake manifold to that of an LS3. That along with some other changes give it more torque on the low end. Just what you need for getting a 6K pound Land Cruiser rolling in a hurry. The last 62 I built was a gas to drive, the combination of a 5.3L and firm shifting 4L65E from monster mad that thing jump up and go. I am looking forward to checking out this crate motor and trans combo with a freshly rebuilt T-Case behind it.

This is when the real fun starts. From now till the drive line is hung is a full scale automotive puzzle. All of the pieces are familiar but I'm always looking for a better way. Pays for those days making and welding in patch panels in the foot wells.

That's what cross bolted 6 bolt mains look like. I put on the new pan, windage and pick up.

Finished up the Turdle de-smog over the weekend and drove it a bit. Truck runs great. I need to tweak the timing a bit and it appears that I am not getting a good seal with the OEM exhaust/intake gasket. The intake runners sealed up fine but one of the exhaust ports goes. "pfft pfft" under load. I am told Fel-pro is the manifold gasket of choice so it looks like I'll be ripping it back apart to install one of those. Anybody ever stack two manifold gaskets to get a better seal? I wonder if that might take care of my leak. Let me know if you've had any experience with this method.
