Nice job man, looks great.

There was another gasket recommended for that location in a 2f Not felpro nor as cheap. I think s4cruiser recommended to me and I read many times over it was a worthwhile expense in this area. I'll look and see what I c an find. iirc it was just under 50 bux

^^^That's the one!

Probably Remflex. The Fel-pro is available at my NAPA. Remflex is an internet order. I'll try the Fel-pro first and we'll see what happens.

All this talk about electrical and wiring has inspired me to get off my rear and work on my set up. I'm about finished up with an overhead switch panel in the cavity left from the sunglass holder. The panel will house switches for all lights and eventually an ARB compressor and rear locker.

How will you handle the ATRAC? I'm sure there are posts out there on this subject, but it seems like it would be a monumental pain in the rear to put a locker in a newer 100... Out of necessity, I missed the opportunity to do something creative with my drivetrain, but I've been curious.

Shouldn't have any issues with ATRAC other than it not having to activate as much with the rear locked. ATRAC is computer controlled oscillation of the ABS system to prevent wheel slippage, there's nothing mechanical behind it in the differentials. The 100 series trucks with ATRAC are true open diffs on each end so dropping an ARB style rear or front locker in shouldn't be an issue.

The biggest headache will be pulling the 3rd and taking it to a gear installer to reset the gears.

Crate motor with motor mounts and all front drive installed

Pretty weak "wrenching" so not sure this belongs here, but painted my belly plates :)

I think I've got this beat in the category of "weak wrenching" .... Finally was able to get a little heat in the cab:

Blocked off about 60% of the radiator

And inside a 10 minute drive was able to reach 180 deg.

My dad always blocked off part of the radiator of our cars when I was a kid in PA. I did it too when I started driving.

It is pretty cold out this morning and supposed to get colder by the weekend, 35 in the shop this morning when i fired up the wood stove. My toes are froze!

Yeah yeah yeah. Rub it in :D
I think my seasonal break from heat concerns is coming to a close

Pull out motors are not often pretty. They have every bit of dirt, grime and rust on them the vehicle ever saw.

A pneumatic needle scaler

Yup, I'm still vibrating

Man, I wish I had a needle scaler. That thing must work fast. All I've got right now is a parts washer and a wire brush, although my wire brush just wore out :(

This was last night:

Much more better

Still vibrating, seriously thinking about finding some padded gloves before I fire it up again.

Go get one! They are cheap and on sale at Northern tool right now for $17.00 I got an even better deal yesterday though.

Regular price $39.99
On Sale for $17.00
One year extended warranty $6.99
1/2 price of 17 $8.50
total $15.49

So it was on sale for $17, Northern Tool is pushing warranties, which I never buy. Could not pass the deal though. Buy a warranty and get the tools in the special for half price, even though my tool was already less than half price. So I bought the warranty and ended up getting a needle scaler for $15.49 with a two year warranty. So I got a two year throw away tool. Life is good!

Pressure washer and simple green are my first line of clean up. Never had issues with it on aluminum like some have. I used simple green on the tires and wheels on Heathers truck a couple weekends back. Those tires have not been that clean in years, got all the mud stains out. Things are just so much more pleasurable to work on when clean.
