WOW. Solid build man.

Thanks man!

Got both the doors done this week. This is the grommet for the door lock cylinder that I wasn't aware was available last time we put them together.

Foam tape to keep the door handle pull rods from rattling.

Moisture barrier installed. We also coated both inner door cavities with t9 boeshield to keep the rust at bay.

Not sure if you mentioned it back down the road, but do you have a rough idea on the finish date when we will see her all dressed up and ready to hit the tracks?

You guys are amazing. Both of the original and the new are fantastic. The attention to the details is superb. So impressive.

No scheduled date set but working on the exhaust at the moment. With that done it should be road worthy but soft top version only until the hard top is done. We need to build another rain gutter and I have an idea for a roof rack provision I'm going to build as well. The exhaust should have been done last week but the shop I ordered the mandrel bends from only shipped half the order so it's just barely started.

This section was a bit tricky as it goes over the cross member. Should have some isolators on it tomorrow.

Thank you that's quiet flattering.

We installed the soft top bows and Bimini top this evening so Tucker has at least some protection from the elements until the hard top is finished. We decided not to install the full soft top because we don't want to drill holes for the three corner footman loops on the tub corners. You can see the difference in color of the old 40 and the new one. The soft top door pillars haven't been painted to match the new color.

Wow that engine bay is spectacular! Can I ship you my 75 so I can have the same thing? ;)

Oh and you might want to consider a quick refurb of the blower to match that engine bay. Here's what I did to mine.

Won a '74 40 on a coin toss... (starts on post #742)

I want to put a rear bumper set up like that on my '75. Did that come from Man-A-Fre?

Could you tell us what this stuff is? Where did you get it? Stellar idea for keeping that edge nice:clap:

Cheers!

It is the door edge guard from Spectra Off-road. We had previously used standard door edge guard from auto parts store. This stuff is more robust with a metal interior coverd by textured plastic.

Thanks! It sure looks nice and give such a finished look to your already impressive work!

Cheers!

That air filter setup looks killer Roma.

EDIT and upon further reading so is the rest of the 40. So nice and everything done of a quality everyone should strive towards.

I really like that seat/e-brake mount. Very creative.

Again, as everyone else has said, great work and impressive how quick this one came together.
FWIW, I like this one better!

Looks AWESOME Roma!
