Hello all I'm thinking of doing a limited production run of these tube flares for people with flipped rear springs.
I am trying to gauge interest on them and also what The value for pricing on them thanks for looking!

These are the pics mind that the diamond plating was rough cut and not yet trimmed

cover

I think that a cover might be in order ---help keep the mud from flying and it looks like you could just about mount some kinda trail gear on there

They look nice but not for me, if I had a hard core trail rig or expedition rig I think I might be interested though

You know on a little smaller scale I'd turn that on its side as use it to prevent cargo from crushing my rear heater I'd like to see that

Nice

I would like a set! They would go well with the Metaltech front tube fenders! I'll be watching to see when you post a price.

X -2 I posted a while back asking if something like this was out there only i was hoping for the entire rear quarter clear to the door in which would give a solid foundation to disperse a bounce off of a tree. (similar to what is seen on jeeps) Can you make the bend around the back of the tub??

i was thinking of building something like that but attach it to the frame. nice work, what you thinking of selling them for?

I'm not sure on a price yet. It is was about 6 hrs of labor for the first ones but I could make a jig that would cut down on time, the steel was about 50 bucks. I was going to skin them but ended up liking how they looked open! Main reason for making them was to have something covering the rear tires for the police and for some protection.
Any bend is possible just extra work! The only problem is that I dont have a base to work off of to get all the right angles of the fj to go all around the rear.

Understandable on the rear bend! Thought i would ask anyway.
Nice work! It sounds like you will get both thoughts open and not open so maybe both options?? I would want open if i end up going that route.

Awesome idea that is now on my to-do DIY list.

Might I suggest for those who want skins, that they find cheap flexible garbage can type plastic, cut to shape, and zip tie for the ultimate in replaceable and repairable skins.

I might also consider tying into the frame, as with a roll over you might push everything into the wheel well, making driving impossible.

I would seel them like you have them and let people skin them themselves. I would be interested if under a hundred shipped.

Do you what the approximate weight is per flare?
I would have to guess around 15 each

Would you have them for an FJ55?

I would be in for sure!
I dont have a 55 to make an original piece If I can find access to one then its possible.

I would be interested depending on price, pm me if you are actually serious about making them, I would also like to see them skinned, a kit form like metaltech might be the ticket on these.....
A kit form would be a good idea just sell all the bent pieces and whoever buys them welds them. what does everyone think about this idea? I'm thinking if I do kit form 100 shipped and welded probably 150 to 175 unfinished paint

Kit

If you can get them ready in a kit form that is ready to be welded for $100 shipped that would be a great deal!

Well its really looks great, how much weight did you think that it hold ? just thinking on those that have hard tops and roof racks they can use it to put stuff on the roof rack,( like a small ladder),,,but please just an idea..not if you are more than 275 # and a lot OF BEERS in your Natural Holder

this is the only pic more I have I will post more tomorrow
