Did what I could this afternoon until the new fuel tank arrives this week.
Installed the new CTS to the head. It reads correctly and confirms that my garage was cold! (28 F - before the heater got going)
Sorted the rest of the vac lines, PCV...

I really like the windshield vents on the early cruisers. I finally got to take it out to replace the gasket, which also works as the hinge. Of course most of the studs broke, some were still long enough to use, about 4 of them were too short...

So I've had it about a month and a half now. I'm absolutely loving it. I've put around 250 miles on it. The longest one way trip in that time has only been about 50 miles but it has been great. I drove it to work one morning when it was around 27...
The next thing I wanted to do was clean the outside and especially underneath very well. I wasn't in a huge hurry though so to help cut the dirt and grease I sprayed the engine bay and underside with degreaser every couple days and let it soak...
I forgot to mention and don't have a picture right now but it also still has the original jack under the seat and the handles in the back.
The first thing I did was pull everything out of it and clean the interior. I vacuumed all the loose dirt...

I didn't even think to check until after I got home, but it happened to work out that it was produced in Dec 1971 and my birthday, while later by a good many years, is also in Dec.
Started cleaning it out a little.
