Ok guys one more question I'm going to price out the steel to do a run of these. For the tubing on my first ones I used 1 inch tube with .062 wall. Is that going to be sufficient for what you guys want or do you want me to try and get something thicker. Mine are really solid and
i dont see a problem with strength but let me know what you think so I can get these started. I am also going to make kits unless anyone posts up that they want them built.

I think that they would hold up well to side impact, with the angle iron and tubing it is pretty stout plus the amount of surface area that they make contact with is a lot!I think even more important will be if they are braced to the vehicle on the inside, meaning if they took a hard hit sideways would they hold up the sheetmetal or bend it inward. I have some tubes running down in the wheel well that connect my cage to the frame, I will probably put one brace on here to hold things up a bit.
Thank you mark very good things to think about!!Very interesting idea. I hope that when you get close to putting $$ on the table for steel, it turns out you have more than tire kickers. Seen that happen too often on this board.
If you do move forward with these, here's a few thoughts.
1. Do not offer anything more than what you've originally posted for the price you've offered. IMO the price you've posted is more than fair for the material and labor involved. Everything extra should be extra. Everything.
2. A competitive price to add a top skin would be a plus, but only for some.
3. If the flare was to be used for more than cosmetic purposes, I would also add 2 tube braces on the diagonal, tapered part of the tube....for an additional charge.
4. Put a cutoff date on your 'introductory offer' so that you are not committed to whatever price you set indefinitely. There are other small fabricators out there who regret what they've gotten themselves into once they realize how much real-world time they've got into their project between answering e-mails, purchasing materials, actual construction, and shipping.
5. I would not offer to make ANY OTHER flares for any other application until you've had an opportunity to evaluate how #1 thru #4 have worked out for you. No sense in adding more R&D time on top of all other times involved UNTIL you've got a good handle on them.
6. At that point, I would consider making a flare for the stock wheelwell configuration for my very next adventure.
I think this is a great niche product and you've obviously got some great fab skills there to bend that angle like that. You have my sincere wishes for success.

like I said I'm gonna get the finals this week and will start production!!those are sick man
i would charge whetever you feel like they are worth, i know how much time and effort it takes to make cutom items. do what is fair for you.
get it done quik too because these will be copied im sure.
get a price and stick to it. they will sell regardless of price. ive seen some jeep fenders go for a pretty penny i didnt think they would sell but they did.
