Last assembled short blocks produced in 2017, will they build more or when these 8 are gone, all are gone?

They will more than likely continue manufacturing more as long as demand is there. What I posted was only a Q=1 example. Other people can post the Toyota kanbans to actually see what manufacture dates we are currently dealing with.

There aren’t 8 now. I bought one yesterday for a customer. 7 left. I doubt that they will be coming off that manufacturing line again.

Just because there are 7 left in the US doesn't mean Toyota Industries won't manufacture anymore once the 7 in the US are dried up.

Toyota supply lines don't work the way you are implying they do.

I think we may find out soon if and when there will be more, I had heard last week from a Toyota dealer there were only 2 remaining, both at the depot on the West coast and I have heard of 2 ordered since!

It sounds as the possibility, based largely on the knowledgeable who have posted here, is additional availability? Do I recall correctly the last price increase was ~$350 a few years ago.

Maybe one of the much more knowledgeable will provide insight.

They are available. They can be purchased. Whether they are sitting on a shelf in Ontario, California or have to be manufactured and then shipped to the US is irrelevant to the determination of "true availability."


Price will be based on whom you buy it from. Toyota MSRP is $4,544.84

Everything coming from Japan has increased due to price pressures both on the manufacturing side, the conversion rate between the yen and the dollar, and trade issues between the US and Japan, so there are fixed and variable influences on the price. Will the price ever decrease? Doubtful.

More than likely once the last one in the US is purchased, a kanban for resupply will be places with Toyota Industries for manufacture.

Hello Peeps! I’m desperately looking for some FJ80 roof rack ribs. Only the four or five ribs that are fastened directly to the roof sheet metal. Not the raised rack portion. Anybody have a lead on anything??

As an alternatives, anybody know how long x wide x tall they are? Maybe I can find an alternate vehicle type that are more readily available.

I think the lock cylinder/keys set #69005-60330 is just about done now too folks. Ebay seller told me no more inbound from Japan, and local dealer said 3 in US.
I imagine individual pieces( one lock) will still be available.

Is the "class code" an indication of how far into its' life cycle a part is? If so, is it possible for a mere mortal to quickly look up what class code certain parts are?
I would like to stock up on A LOT of parts that are still available but would like to prioritize based on how long those parts are going to be available for.

No. You need internal knowledge of how the procurement system operates.

69293-12040 is not the original part. The "original" part is not serviced alone, you have to buy the assembly to get it.

69293-89102 was identical to the original non-serviced part. 69293-12040 is close in appearance but the dimensions are not quite right. I do not recall exactly where but I sort of remember the rod diameter being too small.

I know you're retired from the parts business, but is there anyone i can give a pretty long list of part numbers to, to tell me which parts from that list are likely to be discontinued soon? I would gladly compensate that person for their time. Most parts on the list would be non US-Market specific (mostly for 1HD).

Anything 1HDT-specific will be at the end of its life-cycle.

In a nutshell, Toyota classifies parts movement "A" through "F". A beining fastest moving and F being discontinued or damn near.

The lifespan of a part number is a classic bell curve. It starts out with no demand and gradually moves up to a peak demand and then tapers off. Therefore an "E" class part will be a very new application or on its way out the door.

Class alone will not dictate the date of death of a part number, remaining stock plays a huge roll. Falling demand will take a part number to E or F class if there are 3 left or 303 left.

82164-60013 - Front locker wiring harness just got discontinued as well. I literally had it in my shopping cart from one of the Toyota dealers a few days ago and forgot to check out. Tried to check out this morning, and it's NLA.

If you talk to a real human being as opposed to a website, you’d find out that even though the part is discontinued, there are still 8 left in the US which means any Toyota dealer can still get for you.

O2 sensor kit for 1993-1994 trucks are now discontinued as well. This is the dual O2 sensor kit with gaskets and lock nuts.

16 left in the US. Anyone with a 1993-1994 and plans to keep their truck would be well served to get a set and have them on the shelf.
