Are you going to cut it open?Mule = carrying something from south AMERICA

He quit communicating with me so I welded as much as I could and then did a tank liner. It still leaking around the sender hole so I pressed on and got another user (Eric Ellis, which I want to thank again… Thank you Eric!) to send me one. I just got it but it needs to be cleaned up and I need to figure out where the vent holes lead to. I’ve got the original in the truck and am sorting out lots of other stuff and will pull it and swap in the near future. Are you going to cut it open?
Have you gotten your replacement tank from Cali?
I think there was a graphic someone posted that showed about 6 different part numbers for fuel tanks maybe even in the early years of the 55.
It wasn’t from Spector… it was a grid with factory parts numbers and year break downs. But it equally explains it I guess. This thread is a good resource for Pig fuel tanks:

Pabst Blue Ribbon in the long neck bottle just a hair above freezing is the best field refresher ever made...Pabst isn't a bad beer at all, but that Coors Light.....

South American spec? Not sure what’s happening there. They never had plating on them though. Kinda different!I noticed your license plate lamp covers aren't chrome. Future project or leaving them black? Just curious.
Sounds like a great learning curve when you are the new guy!At AB we would fill the bottles at 32 degrees in order to keep the foaming down, but man was that good. Filler beer or "green beer" as they called it was before the pasteurisering and still had the live yeast bacteria in the beer which gave it a great taste. Only drawback was your system had to get used to the bacteria, if you know what I mean.![]()
