If there not then they need service

My front is pokey, but pops in eventually.
My rear is horribly slow. I was hoping with more use they'd loosen up. And they have to some degree, just not enough for my impatient wants.

I'm guessing both need the servos to be serviced or replaced. Replacing them is a test in financial control. They is expensive!

I still wouldn't bother buying one with factory lockers again. They pull far too much of a premium so people can say tRIplE lOcKED. 🤣

Next time I'm around you, I'm going to hop in your passenger seat and have you show me what they are supposed to do. Mine work, but that's about it.

Air lockers are just so fast. The e locker in my pickup is pretty much instant as well

whats this , lock, you speak of ?
It's just one more of those nanny-state new-fangled gizmos for people without a manual transmission. I never lock the doors on the Pig, they probably don't work anyway. I leave the windwings unlatched, can't afford to replace them again. Tuffy console holds the important stuff.
I've run a Detroit in the rear for a good 25 years. Love it, there when I need it and I don't hear from it otherwise. Don't have to think about it. ARB in front but use it sparingly.

From about April to November it’s a safari top so basic free access to the rig.

As for lockers I’ve owned.
3 of the 80s I owned were factory locked, 2 of the rear locker actuators were broke/froze. 1 worked.
Another 80 of mine had ARBs, worked great, only failure was a pinched seal that happened when the pinion nut backed off wheeling.

I have ARBs on my BJ74, they are old. The compressor and lockers are from the 90s and still work fine. The only issue I’ve had in 6 years was me breaking the plastic line when I was working on the vehicle 😂

Once upon a time there was someone making cable retrofits with a very simple setup for the OEM lockers, but who knows where that went.

Mine work, but that's about it.
Huh? Lol

They can be converted to air or cable actuated pretty easily if you’re that impatient.

You just had to do it didn't you DJ start the old locker debate again 😂 🤪

As long as they work, I don't really care lol.

To the best of my knowledge, swapping to air requires making something to cover the hole.

Which doesn't matter anyways. The change between the seats, the used oil, the seat covers, and whatever is in the fuel tank makes up the bulk of the value of my 80.

She's in survival mode at this point. 🤣
