Does anybody know where to get the Cargo Window rubbers, Vent Window Rubbers, and Rear Door Fixed Window Rubbers?

the first link for cabe that you posted is the cargo window rubbers. the second link is the upper tailgate glass channel/weatherstrip assy.

Very little connectivity right now, can't wait to look at your document.

I did rubber for the bottom of the tailgate opening, as well as rubber for the lower sides of tailgate opening from BD. I'll have to look back in the thread to see if I posted part numbers. If not, I'll pull the invoice and we can go from there. I also have extra of the bulb seal I used around the lower tailgate opening sides.

Big Frank, if you could keep that list updated long with website, it would be awesome. At some point, it would be helpful to have comments about each part too. It is a lot of time to read 632 replies! Is there a way to streamline this so that we can all help?

Would love to have you take a look at it when you get the chance since you seem to have good knowledge on the various pieces and options to check to see if my pieces are correct and that they are the best for each part. So is the rubber on the bottom of the tailgate a standard thing on these pigs? Or does companies like Slocruisers not have a match for the stuff yet and therefore don't sell it as of yet? How'd that bulb seal work for that? I'd love to take it off your hands.

I was thinking about setting up something like that... It'd be nice to have a way in which we could have all the pieces listed along with specific information about the various options for each piece so people can decide from there when going about buying weatherstripping. Definitely beats going through 632 replies! Was definitely a long boring and confusing thing going through all of that for me, it'd be nice if it was more simple and to the point. I'm not really sure how we could set up a thing to streamline all the information though.. I don't know much about how the forums work or what can be made to have the information up and changeable by everybody in the forums so that parts can be kept up to date. Anybody know anything about how we could go about making that? Or would we just need to constantly update this thread whenever parts change or new alternative pieces are found?

I wonder if it is time to retire this thread and create a new one that is a Sticky?
Since you organized and updated all the content from this thread into your document, you could start a new thread and maybe create a Google doc that we could update whenever a new find is discovered?
One valuable piece of this thread is the pictures used to show exactly what piece we are talking about...

Here, I made a Google Doc (I've never made one before so I hope I did it right) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0As3kk9d57IvSdGtiWFprSTVsN1RiZld4QWF1dGcxanc&usp=sharing

I just created a thread for the new guide... Let's hope it works out. Let me know if there's anything I should change with the Google Doc since I have no idea how it's working on everyone else's end.

WOW!

Thanks guys - Frank. The thread and the google deal work great! With winter coming I was just getting ready to tackle this! looked through old threads - tried to order - but this makes it idot (me) proof!! Thanks soo much!

I've read this thread a couple of times and still al ittle confused.

I need the outer chrome piece that stops water from getting between the body and window on the outside and the piece on the inside that does the same thing in essence the two pieces that sandwich the window as it rolls up and down on the horizontal surface of each of the 4 windows.

to confirm I'll need these items for each door correct?
Rock auto 01484X2 price 24.89 (comes in two 48" pieces) will need to order 2
Rock auto 159927X3 price 47.99 (comes in three 36" pieces) will need to order 2

I've attached two photos of the two respective pieces from the outside and inside. just want to make sure I'm looking at the correct items before I buy.

Thanks again.

anyone or I am not splaning myself well Lucy? ;)

Nope, you are 'splaining yourself just fine. I ended up getting my inner wiper felts from Restoration Specialties. I bought enough to do inner and outer windows with the stuff, and then found the outer w/ stainless strip at BD Specialties in Denver, so I bought that. I can dig up p/n's later today.

If you want to buy the excess felt wiper for inner, I can get that material heading your way.

Pablo,

Do you know if these wiper felts come in Slocruiser's rubber kit?

I haven't looked into it yet, but I'm thinking not.

I'll let you know however the outers with chrome would be terrific.

Here we go, I ended up posting these in another thread specific to window threads almost a year ago:

Alright, I took the day off (since my Birthday was this week) and drove down to Denver and bought the Pig some presents...

Heather at B-D was very cool, very helpful. These guys rock!

For the outer window felt, I went with the WEA/75001371: http://www.b-dco.com/ecom/shop/item.aspx?itemid=1822
It had felt on the side that wipes the window, so I hope it fits well.

I went with a very similar bulb seal to what Ige listed, but there was a p/n 1364 that was similar size, lower price. STA/75001364
http://www.b-dco.com/ecom/shop/item.aspx?itemid=30
$52.25 for a 24' coil. She sold me a 12' coil, and I only need about 4' for the vertical around the tailgate opening. I'll trim and install and then if someone else can use some, let me know!

For the weatherstrip that goes under the bottom of the tailgate opening, we spec'd out AUV/4742: http://www.b-dco.com/ecom/shop/item.aspx?itemid=1214 Looked like a good match to what was on there

I did not go with the dense tee rubber for the cowl seal. The area that would adhere is so narrow, I think it would fold over and fail. She gave me a sample of D-seal WEA/CS104: http://www.b-dco.com/ecom/shop/item.aspx?itemid=304 that I will try for size when I get a minute.

Hope that helps!

thanks so much Pablo!
