Ordered the weather stripping per Pablo's guide and it worked great ! The only change I made was the door wipers, BD offered a stripping that was all rubber and no Crome strip.I have had other trucks that had the Crome strip and the sun really takes its toll.BD gave great customer service a the girl on the other end was very nice as well.

Glad my post could help!
I forgot about that sample she gave me for the cowl, I'll have to find that and try it out...

Pablo,

Do you think the bulb seal you purchased for the tailgate would also work on the door openings on the body?

If not, should I look for one that is smaller??, larger??

Did you find anything from them that would work for the stuff on the door itself?

Thanks,

JW

I'll have to get back to you on that. I can see how the tailgate bulb seal fits the door opening over the weekend...

Thanks,

If it's a good fit, I'll probably buy a whole roll; if not, I'll buy your leftover bulb seal for my tailgate.

Fairchild cross ref

I called fairchild and cross referenced the old JCW numbers listed previously, Fairchild produced these and sold them to JCW, They are the exact part.

Window Channel
Former JCW zx184879t - Fairchild part 0452 - 8' length

Window felt (belting)
Former JCW zx193480 - Fairchild 0147 -6 footer or 0148 -8 footer or (2) four footers same profile for each pn
outer felt with deflection strip
Former JCW zx 819752r - fairchild 1599 -4 footers (sold by 2s)

Tailgate sides
Former JCW zx813120n fairchild m4000 sold as 10'

Body moulding
Former JCW zx132562b fairchild 15004 sold as 25'

Door weatherstrip did not crossover in fairchilds system, they were not the vendor. I called JCW and asked them to cross and they said that both pieces were discontiued and the manufacturer was General Accessories.
old jcw number zx813688a did not have a General Accessories number
old jcw number zx 813689r crossed to a GA number 2013
I googled General accessories and could not come up with the company

Soffseal has a partnumber 2013 avail thru summit, but I can't tell if it is correct.
Does anyone have a good part number for a good door weatherstrip.

All of the Fairchild stuff is out of stock at jcw, it is supposedly avail thru Rock auto. I will probably just order it thru fairchild.
Any help is appreciated.

Is body moulding the material that goes around door opening?
You may want to compare these to the the B-D specialties offerings that Ige and I posted. Not sure how often you get down to Denver, but it might save you a bunch of shipping and let you go over the items for review before you buy.
For the door weatherstrip, I am going to have to review Ige's post. I bought a big kit from SLO Cruisers, so I need to see what I got for that weather strip.

Pablo, the Door weatherstrip gets installed on the door itself, there is a metal "groove" around the perimeter of the door that it fits in.
I live in Buffalo NY, so denver is 1700 miles away.
thanks for your help. your lucky to live where you do.

Shoot, I'm sorry, I thought you were in Hayden.
I have heard the same thing Ige has, that 60 series WS will work. I have not tried it...

Does the slo cruiser window channel require cutting, or is it one molded piece that goes up the side and across the top and down the other side?

What about the slo door weather strip, one piece with molded corners, or just one continuous piece?

I am going to order 40 feet of metro moulding part C/lp40-k
Rock auto part CLP40K at $2.97 per foot to do the door seal area on all four doors. I searched fairchild and soffseal and couldn't find a good seal. There may be a better seal Metro LP112J, but it wasn't available thru rock.

gmayer,
My pig is now in the paint shop. The PO was going to do a restore and got the FJ60/62 door seal. I'm hoping this will work.
thanks,

I need the weatherstrip/rubber that keeps the front door windows from banging into the door, I think I need the window run rubber, and the rubber that goes inside the door where the window mates to the door when it is up.

I looked at cruiserparts.net, and I believe this: http://shop.cruiserparts.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5_243_16_19&products_id=2136

is the window run part (goes inside the door)?

What else is needed to seal up the window inside the door?

maybe this...? (part #33)

What I've found to be the cheapest

Okay so I've put together a document from what I found through picking apart this guide to an extent and seeing what supposedly works and is the cheapest. Although I still need to refine the list and figure out a couple other pieces, here it is.

And here come the questions... The tailgate is confusing me. Pablo posted something about being able to get a piece which runs under the bottom of the tailgate opening, does slocruisers not offer this piece? Also, I was checking Cabe Toyota and found this: http://yhst-99618682857744.stores.yahoo.net/fj14glwe.html and this: http://yhst-99618682857744.stores.yahoo.net/fjretawest.html . What's the difference between the two? Maybe pictures would help...

As far as door handle pads and hood bumper pads go, is there any alternatives to these that can be bought or created easily (Hood bumper seems like something that can be cut to shape).

Does anybody know where to get the Cargo Window rubbers, Vent Window Rubbers, and Rear Door Fixed Window Rubbers?

Anybody have any experience with Slocruisers pieces? How did they last over time? I read something about a piece turning brittle which frightens me.
Anybody have experience with Rock Auto/Fairchild's stuff? I believe this is the same stuff that SOR sells but Rock Auto is selling it cheaper from my understanding.

Thanks!
Jacob
