Workin on the rockers and found this; some of that foreign metal!

How the rockers mount: At the front, made spacers that go over the roll cage mount bolts, using longer bolts, ties it all together, didn't take pixs.

At the center, made threaded nut plates that slide into the floor supports, sandwiching the support between the rocker and nut plates.

At the rear,welded brackets to the rocker that use the same type of nut plates in the main body crossmember.

At both rear quarter corners, where the fender well tops connect, there was significant rust pucker. The texture wasn't that big of a deal, but there was perforation, so, would have shortly showed rust through the new paint.

Cut it out, treated, painted, made a 16G patch, then more, tack, cool, grind, repeat.

Started working on the step design. The goal is; somewhat stock looking, but stronger, bolt on for easy replacement incase they are damaged.

For these I'd use at least button heads and counter-sunk hex bolts would be the cats meow.

Looking forward to seeing those steps. My rig is pretty tall for no steps.

Ohhh I like the Hex option with the countersink nice and flush!

No need for the flush bolts, there will be more stuff hanging on them, like step mount rails.
