A ways up is the pictures of the crash.

It's finally repaired as well as it's going to get until my bumper gets here.

The new hood latch brace and bumper panel

Primed and painted

After they were painted I brought the canal boat in the garage and shot a few pictures of the remaining damage

Hood gap, bent brace things like that

The last picture of the hood and a few current pictures reassembled.

I replaced the blinkers, bumper panel, head lights, corner lights, hood lock brace and did some bad paint work on the hood.
Honestly it needs a core support but I'll wait till this summer where I can work in better weather.

this is the only before picture I took.
I shampooed the seats and carpet inside. I don't know if there's much of a visual difference but the water that came out tells me that it's better.

The cat is my female. My son named her snow walker, I call her little bit. She's my shop buddy.
This are all after shots

I also tightened a squeaky belt on the alternator. Adjusted the kick down cable and fixed a rattle in the steering wheel clam shell.

Now it's time to just patiently wait for my bumper and winch.

Nice work. Did you do paint with a rattle can or do you have a spray setup. (Some of us have some significant paint peeling on bumper panels and are eager to copy your work).

I did a simple rattle can job because the bumper valance is coming off when my bumper gets here from dvs.

That said, I've used rattle cans with good success.

Good prep. Good primer. Quality rattle can paint. Adhere to the dry and cure times.

Looks pretty nice to me. Thanks!

The blue satin VC look sweet!

What, no nitrous on the Lightning? I can't imagine it would cause any bottom end problems and nitrous always works awesome with SCs.

Unsubscribed.

In all actually I am pushing my luck because my block isn't sleeved.

10 fill ups since i put the 35's on.
16.06 mpg daily driving with probably a 60/40 hwy/city split
I average about 283 miles per tank and and 17.6 gallons
I average $4 a gallon even, but of course that's been ****ed by the last few tanks.

Got my Blackstone back. I'm a little concerned. The big end bearings were supposedly done. If the next sample is the same I may change them again. Otherwise it looks great.

The BEB story’s never end. Maybe try a different brand of oil. I hear great things about 2197. :hillbilly:

I have a near endless supply at work. And it says "turbo"

I changed it with the same oil again because the filter doesn't get changed until 10k km's. When I swap filters I'll run some delo instead of rotella.

You guys and your damned Blackstone reports. I'm getting subtle anxiety over here.
I agree 100 percent with your comments regarding rattle can work. All of my failures have been related to "pushing" recommended dry/cure times.
Sorry about your fender bender. I had a lady get scared after a slip and come to a complete stop in front of me during that same stretch of weather I went 3 tires off-road to avoid her. Good times.

cough cough
wondering what is next on the mods list :D
 I think it was something that rhymes with skelta plus a 9.5k winch….

And looks like some sliders…

Actually I showed my wife that picture of your body damage and explained sliders and she said that seems like a good idea….

So thanks for helping build the case to release more funds to the cruiser!
