Me... Waiting on my gd bumper

I really hate it when a vendor will communicate supply chain issues with potential customers but make no effort to let a current custom who's waiting on an order know that they're order is going to be delayed beyond the agreed upon timeline.

I assume you reached out?

I've tried. It usually takes 2-3 emails to get a reply.

And calling just gives you an answering machine that tells you to email them.

I'm a big proponent of customer service and communication.

I was told no less than 5 times we were on the 6-12 week time line.
Today I was looking at their sliders to compare them to the wkor sliders and noticed the announcement about powder coat.

Honestly the last communication I had with them was the bs about getting a bumper meant for someone else. And even that bumper was gonna be late.

Interesting. I emailed them a while back and haven’t heard anything either but mine wasn’t about a purchase. I was kicking tires more or less. I mean, I’m planning on making a big purchase soon. I’m with you man, customer service goes a long way. Idgaf how dope their products are. Keep us informed

I haven't heard a word from them in 2 weeks now. It's frustrating. Even an email to say "we had issues, production was delayed, it'll be another (insert time frame) until it's ready" would've been fine.

With out communication we have nothing !!!

Did they take the full cash amount up front ?

Ya. Except shipping cost. $39xx

So I've reached an impasse with this.
I don't know that I trust it and I also can't think of a rig to replace it.

It stranded me in the mountains due to a third transmission failure.
The converter began to slip climbing a pass and then puked the front seal out.

So my debate is sell it after they replace the trans again as is, and request some form of refund from @Delta VS, perhaps let them sell my bumper to someone else and refund me at that point.

Sell it after the bumper gets here, whenever the hell that is.

Keep it and pray it lasts this time.

For as bullet proof as these are, it's sure been a huge pain in my ass. And at this point I can't afford to take it elsewhere for a rebuild. I just don't have another 6k in the budget.

I really wish I would've manual swapped it when it does the first time. The cost would've been similar and it wouldn't cause me concern every time I drive it.

Wtf is going on???

Aw Man, :censor: Sorry for your trouble the transmission shop must not be getting it right.:cautious:

Those transmission should not be having those issues, there know to be a stout unit AKA the bus transmission.

If you really plan to sell I would most likely not install the Delta bumper.

But again with the crazy prices of Cruisers these day I just don't know anymore 🤷‍♂️

The issue with not installing the bumper is it doesn't have a bumper at all.

The trans shop was recommended by @torfab too, so I'm sure they know they're s***. But sure am gun shy at this point.

Dude, that all suck. Sorry to hear you're having such a garbage experience.

Pretty sure if you want out, Delta could sell your bumper to someone else in a heartbeat. Selfishly hoping that doesn't happen though. More people who know their s*** and own cruisers they're willing to take off road in this end of Seattle is a good thing in my book.

Maybe a billet torque converter?
The stock one should be just fine. I'm not going to spend money to fix an issue that should t exist.

It's stock power. It's driven by an old man. It doesn't tow.
