Had a little adventure with the cruiser today. Went and filled up the tank and as I was coming up our driveway which is a small hill, the cruiser stalled. I backed down and attempted to start on level ground, however it wouldn't start again. Starter was turning and I had fuel squirting into the carb but apparently had no spark. Eventually I noticed some smoke coming from under the hood. I looked inside in the engine compartment on the inside drivers side fender and saw what I thought was a voltage regulator however I have one inside the cab already. I was a little confused but still took it off and replaced the wires that had burned through. Hopefully the part will still work tomorrow. I'll post some pics of the part later. I have no idea what it is, but it's extremely similar to the voltage regulator.

Going throught landcruiser withdrawals. i posted a WTB ad on craigslist Hawaii for any condition FJ45. If I could get enough time off post, I would go to a Kuwaiti dealership and buy an FJ75 (I think they are at least) and ship it back to hawaii.

WOW! B-E-A-UTIFUL Pig!

Well I'm back from outer space and school has started already. It'll be slow process but I will def. get back into it. I actually kinda regret not sending the truck in since I had the money and getting it worked on while I was gone, then coming home to a beautiful well done pig. It's all good though, working on it is half the fun!

Not much to update: It's finals week so projects have been put on hold. However as soon as Friday rolls around, it's on. I need to replace the clutch, so I'm gonna drop the tranny/transfer case. What should I do while that's out? Resurface flywheel? Clean obviously...the transfer case does not engage into four lo, so I'm gonna figure that out. Any seals etc I should replace while it's free?

Seal btwn T-case and tranny!

Rear t-case seal at the parking brake as well.

Rubber boot that goes on the 2/4 selector

Sounds good. Is that part of a gasket set available from the dealer? I'm gonna order everything before the week is over.

Had a fun weekend with the sawzall. I'm gonna make it a pickup due to roof issues, plus I like it too.
