Someone needs to do a write-up on how to install. Seems like there is a lot of variables.

Does anyone have part numbers for the two side vents with and without the wood? I’m down to buy one and try it out.

Do we think there would be a reason this would not work in a 2006 LX470?
The model says up to 2005, is there a main difference?

I am ready to purchase and will do a step by step video of the installation

Check out Phoenix Automotive for a US based seller. Looks like they provide better support from what I've gathered from Tundra / GX forums.

Anybody have the wiring diagrams for the head unit and amp handy? I have a unit coming from Phoenix audio in a few days and would love to get a jump on understanding the wiring

I have gone back and forth with the supplier of the unit I purchased on the included wiring harness for the 2003 model. I recently received a replacement that is a correct plug-in-play for the 2003. They referred to is as a "top model" application. Good news is it exists and works :)

I also purchased their back up camera at the same time.

I’ve got an 03 LX as well. Keep up posted on how well it works. I’d seriously consider this soon.

Looking for a better fit but the gray will be darker then the trim of the Tesla screen
This might work 55660-60170 and 55670-60110 from Megazip but is appears to be darker then the LX wood ...its called Sandalwood and is probably not wood. Maybe just the gray plastic would be better. 55660-60190 and 55670-60130

What supplier did you get this from?. my unit has no climate control or audio. I need this harness.

For comparison, is there any alternative to split up the climate control out of the system and replace with a "normal" touchscreen type head unit?

Under the electrical section of the FAQ, there are "nav delete" posts available by year that will offer an alternative.

The nav delete will run you around $1-2K if you can even find the parts. Touchscreen climate control is not that bad once you get used to it. If the interface is smooth and not clunky you will be fine

The images you showed us about the fitting of the unit, were they the final shots of the install? Any cons about the unit now that you have had it for a little longer?

Thx

Yes, those were after the install. The unit works great and is far more superior as compared to the outdated factory system. I have not had any major problems... over the past 5 months the unit became unresponsive like 2-3 times and it would reboot within 2 minutes and functions again...

Can anyone that has it give any updates? Were you able to resolve the fitment issues? Are there different interface skins / templates?
