See photo below - mine is missing - anyone know if these are still sold new for a 1977, or alternatively are there any other fabricated setup possibilities that don't look too "ghetto" ? :) I have a feeling I am dealing with "unobtanium" here ?

NLA for a long time. Best bet is to find an intact used one.

No affiliation and not sure what "Available on backorder" exactly means. Maybe they have an unrestored supply and only restore them as they are sold? The ad just popped up in a 1 minute Google search.
Jesus - these prices - I guess I need to recalibrate my budget for recommissioning this thing! 😂

You're new here, don't use BTB as a reference or Cruiserparts, actual selling prices don't align. Just post an add in the classifieds, these pop up all the time for 100-200. Note this isn’t including the air horn or hose, just the housing. Also check facebook marketplace or ask @cruisermatt. Worst case call classic cruisers if you don't like putting in any legwork.

My recommendation is find a good condition air cleaner that is clean but not crusty then put a batch of parts together for powder coating, saves money when the PC outfit is doing gloss or satin black.
