Sweet looking build.

With 28lbs of boost, what are your exhaust temps running?

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

Thanks, You have some nice builds going too.

I never saw the temp go over 1100* so I'm pretty happy to see that. I will have to do some more tuning and testing to get a little bit better response. Its currently got a bit of lag. I might upgrade the exhaust housing of my turbo to get better spool up.

28lbs of boost!

Jebus.

You should paint the intercooler (I think thats what I'm seeing) black.

Its a nice amount of boost, not too much to tax the turbo or blow headgaskets. Let me tell you it throws you back in the seat when the turbo lights. Its great :D

I might paint the intercooler, the only thing I was thinking though was how much that would affect the ability to cool the air?

I wouldn't paint the intercooler. I think it'd insulate too much. If it were anodized, then that'd be a different story since the color layer would be much thinner.

28lbs is sweet. Have the factory HX35 on there? Much lag or no?

Will the factory grill not fit on there now?

another vote not to paint it .. too bling .?

I have an upgraded WH1C there is some lag. I am going to try tweaking the pump a bit to see if I can get it down. If not I might upgrade the turbine side of the turbo.

And stock grille doesn't fit anymore. I will make something though to protect the IC.

I don't think it too shiny or anything I'm gonna leave it as is for now.

Well work has had me scrambling for the past week so I really haven't had much time to do anything other than eat and sleep.

But I did manage to get a few things accomplished last weekend on the cruiser.

Bumpstops are installed to prevent the shocks from bottoming out, I did some flex testing too.

I also got around to installing the new center console that I have had sitting around for almost a year.

On the list of things to do is to finish tuning the pump. I had messed around with the smoke screw a bit and now have better low boost fueling, but still have a little too much lag for my liking.
I also double checked my EGT at max boost, and am surprised to find that the highest I can get it is around 975 degrees.

It is pretty much unstoppable so far off road. The amount of traction I get from the SX tires is ridiculous. I typically run them at 12 Psi which gives me plenty of footprint and softens the ride.
The only thing that is going to get some getting used to is the medium duty trans. I need to re-lengthen the shifter. When I shortened it up before I greatly reduced the mechanical advantage of the shifter. I now have to literally punch the trans into and out of gear.
Hopefully with a slightly longer shifter it will be more manageable.

I will post up some more gopro footage when I get the chance.

Its a little bit tall for my liking but its not terrible.
Best thing is I can shift the trans through the gears much easier now that I have more mechanical advantage.

That reminds me of chopper handle bars on a custom bike that have been extended. It looks really tall from that pic.

Yeah that picture is a bit deceiving. Its just about level with the top of the steering wheel.

You need to put a ridiculous shift knob on it now. Like the kind drifters put on their 240sx :grinpimp:

Good work

a piston from a 6BT would make an execellent custom shifter knob
