Costa Rican vehicle inspections are actually rediculously thorough. I would need to put an e-brake in somehow, I would need to build some big fender flares too. Tires are not allowed to stick out at all past the body. Also I forgot to mention before there is an 80% tax that they put on older vehicles.

Yeah and other things too. Costa Rica is tough on vehicle laws. They don't really enforce them other than when you register and once a year but passing riteve is a nightmare.

80%?!?!?!?!??!?!?!

I saw a ton of old vehicles when we were there. Saw a few diesel 40s and a BUNCH of old Toyota trucks.

Yep 80% on imported vehicles over a certain age. It's stupid.

They have all of these vehicle restrictions to "protect the environment" but everyone here burns garbage and plastic.

Yep couldn't be more true. Don't get me wrong I like the people down here it's just some things are totally ridiculous.
