This weekend I made a good change. The cheap ProComp steel wheels have served their purpose, but they bend if I even look at them funny when aired down. So some Dirty Life Enigmas went on. 17X9 et -38. Weird that all the sites say they won't fit my Cruiser because of the 106mm hub bore, but they are a perfect fit. Amazing how many people still don't know the hub bore on these rigs. Seems like every few months I see people arguing that they're 108, or 106.25, and the few that know 106 is it

Would you try dropping a 14mm or 9/16 in a lug hole and see if they would need drilling or possibly fit ?

Personally, yeah probably. Most lug holes aren’t that tight fitting. There’s a little wiggle room almost always. And the amount to shave is .3mm if it was an exact fit which it can’t be. So maybe half that and .15 is the amount to remove? Especially if it was a wheel I liked and the price was right

I haven't yet either, but I've been pretty careful about how much I air down and what I do, not that the wheel lips from the old ones could tell
Can you post more pictures of your three link please

Nice build. Following

I've got that same TG front bumper and I always find myself staring at it thinking, "This girl needs a nose job." I've been kicking around ideas, but just trimming the frame (and some tin, obviously) hadn't occurred to me. Do you happen to remember how much you took off the frame?

I cut halfway through these openings, trimmed the bumper a bit and then of course the grill to fit the winch

Right, that makes sense: gotta trim the bumper a bit because of the location of the body mounts. I was looking at my winch and if I remote mount the controller, I could actually tuck the winch itself all the way back without trimming the grill. I may ditch that valence piece entirely, since I modded my corner lights to work as signal and marker.

Appreciate the info!

No problem. I like this bumper but it sure sticks out too far for any harder wheeling

Engine decided it didn't require a head gasket Friday night, as evidenced by the coolant sitting on top of the #6 piston. Also note the broken head bolt right next to it back there opposite the dowel. Ripped the head off Saturday after lunch. I am more than overjoyed as the timing is terrible. I'm in pain and have surgery next Friday. Just glad this happened now on not on my way down to Rubithon. Bright side is I can handle a few things I have been putting off while I have everything apart. It's just going to take time.

Not to extract that bolt. It is really frozen in there...
